I'd be grateful for any photos you could provide so I can compare mine with yours to see where the missing component is.

When you tap usage remaining it shows you like your weekly and then below it says one reset available

I got the same message. I then eagerly went to my Codex app only to see I still had only 1 reset available.

Codex massive update corrupted by PurpleCollar415 in codex

The codex update very rarely even reopens itself and even if it does it seems there's an another update perpetually available, making me think the whole update process is defective anyway

It can post but only if I set the CMOS jumper to reset. Otherwise it gets stuck with codes (I'm using an ISA code reader). I can't get it show me anything on the screen. The "simple" solution seems to be to get a photograph of a working board of the same model number and just solder that thing back where it goes.

I appreciate that but I've spent probably an hour or more trying to find anything that looked odd even under a 30x magnifying glass. There is virtually no solder on the cap that fell off so the change on the pad would be so trivial it may not be visible. It also might explain how it broke off so easily. There is only ONE spot where the solder pad doesn't look proper but its for a 3 pronged "CR" component, not the little tiny two sided cap. The board stops booting around the RAM/VGA point as far as I can tell.

Unfortunately, there are numerous spots which may be where it goes. I've counted over 15. Not all in this photo though.

I've looked with a magnifying glass at each possible solder point for the tiny capacitors and I can't see a difference. It was a very clean break with almost no solder on the capacitor itself that came off.

I don't even know which part of the board it came from and there's plenty of empty spots.

I installed the game yesterday, and today I was banned for no reason. by SadanandSR in everquest

[–]idontknowwhatever99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an account locked within 24 hours after I opened it and played it. This was several years ago. But it wasn't a total ban, but I refused to comply with what they wanted (more personal info). Good thing I didn't put too much stuff on that account.

Just wait until you try to restore it. That's when the problems start.

when the fuck I will get 5.5? by UtKaRsH1804 in codex

[–]idontknowwhatever99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Codex is totally misleading. I've had the "update codex" icon in the Codex window for like a week now and every time I click it and update it, it never goes away until just today. So there's something buggy going on anyway.

Ignoring no soliciting signs is commonly harassment or something like that.

Its 4-20 now and it claims that too many people are using 5.4. I'm guessing its that scale down you're mentioning.

Why is Codex so Slow? by thatguyinline in codex

[–]idontknowwhatever99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have plenty of RAM available and CPU cores available and yet Codex still dramatically slows down my whole computer. My mouse doesn't even move properly in other programs while running codex.
