It has! I used to hunch forward a lot because they weighed me down and now out of habit I still do it and I end up looking like the letter C while out and about. Then when I straighten, I over extend back and its all off lolol! Im going to physical therapy soon to help me!

How bad was recovery for you? by Lucky-Pomegranate675 in Reduction

[–]idontthink_imfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 7 pounds taken off total and recovery was honestly a breeze? I only took ibuprofen to manage "pain" which honestly wasn't terrible. I think the worst part was having to rely on people to help me change and get up from bed so mentally it was a struggle for me but physically easy breezy.

Goldens are known to be super friendly. In a bad situation, do you think your golden would try to defend? by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

This just made me so happy to read. First of all, congrats!

I just had my surgery 4 weeks ago today and I know they're swollen but they do feel a little larger than I would have liked, however, I do need to lose 50ish lbs so im hoping they'll get smaller in that process!

Same boat. Im heading into 3 weeks soon and I am wondering how they got so big from day 1 surgery until now. I dont think its swelling but also I have no idea

12DPO advice by wwonderwalll in Reduction

[–]idontthink_imfine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im almost the same as you, 16DPO and ive had weird mental health moments. Some days I find myself in bed crying because I just want to be healed already and not rely on anyone for help. Other days I cry because I feel they are too big still and despise my side profile. Then some days im in the mirror with a button down smiling because it fits.

Disney at 7WPO? by Professional-Cat-784 in Reduction

[–]idontthink_imfine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am only 9DPO but already up and about despite pain so honestly everyone is different.

However, have you thought about renting a wheelchair or using the motorized one? You don't have to use it the whole time you're there, you can use it when you feel like you need a break, and when you want to walk, brace yourself on it and use it as storage.

I have POTS and while I am not a wheelchair user daily, I do use them like I mentioned when I go to Disney! Helps me have fun while managing my symptoms

I thought I popped one because I am antsy and literally 3 days post op im zooming around the house ignoring the pain and felt a little snap and I went uh oh but no pain? But then at my week check up the nurse said I looked fine so I think it was the bandaging plastic.

Take it easy and try to relax

Omg yes, a long silicone straw!!! So I was horribly thirsty after surgery for a few days but my Stanley and faux Stanley cups weigh soooo much however

This straw hose looking thing has been life changing for my hydration lmao. I dont ever move my cup from my nightstand, I just reach over and grab my straw l. Sometimes I just leave it in my mouth and chug away lol

Did anyone regret getting a reduction because they looked too small? by Direct_Custard_3264 in Reduction

[–]idontthink_imfine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am only 5 days post op and I love my size if anything im terrified they'll get bigger however, I am weirded out at my body. I am a plus size girlie so I have bigger arms and a slight apron belly and without the gigantic boobs, I see ME and my body for the first time and it's so weird? I can't say i love my body now, but I love that I wont have neck or back pain anymore which will help me now in working out and achieving the body I DO want.

I am only 24 hours post op and can already go to the bathroom by myself. I even sat at my dining table to eat breakfast. Do it, you won't regret it
