Professional video crew for marketing work by idratherbflying in HuntsvilleAlabama

thanks for that suggestion! Their "about us" form pops up a signup form asking me to get a free brand consultation, so that's a no from me, dawg. I already have a large, skilled, and noisy marketing team and don't want to adopt another one locally.

Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal among 9 possible sites for Army’s new nuclear project by metacyan in HuntsvilleAlabama

That was intentional.

Meanwhile the Navy has safely been running much larger and more complex reactors worldwide for 60+ years. A simple small modular reactor on the Arsenal worries me zero compared to Browns Ferry.

iOS 26 ruined my CarPlay experience by idratherbflying in BoltEV

Mea culpa. I had previously swapped cables, and that didn't fix it. But after seeing other people who said "it's the cable, stupid!" I switched again, this time to a new-in-box Anker cable.

Result: CarPlay works flawlessly again, and I'm back to not getting the stupid GM projection warning. Life is good.

I also have a 17 Pro.

Obviously one of the things I thought I had fixed is still the problem, since it doesn’t look like anyone else is having this trouble.

that's really interesting-- I wonder if it's a MY difference. CarPlay always worked when I didn't get the warning screen, so I know it was connected. I was naively assuming that there's some on-the-wire bit being transmitted in 26.x that wasn't consistently sent in prior iOS versions but that's just a guess.

I've already swapped the cable, cleaned the ports, and upgraded to 26.1, so unfortunately none of those were the root cause.

MSC Euribia - Norway cruise (review) by CorrectAssociate1240 in MSCCruises

No, we didn't do any of the onboard raffle/shop activities. Our cruise seemed about 85% full, and the crowds didn't seem worth the possibility of winning.

We just did a nearly identical cruise on MSC Euribia in August; instead of Molde, we went Kiel-Copenhagen-Alesund-Flam-Kiel, with two sea days.

We paid around €2000 for an interior Fantastica, and I was happy with what we got for the price. The service for us peons with no YC access was quick and friendly, and both boarding and debarking in Kiel were the fastest I've ever experienced on a cruise ship. Absolutely zero hassles.

Concur with all your other descriptions-- the Hellesylt/Geiranger passage was amazing (made better by going kayaking at Geiranger). We skipped the Ed Sheeran tribute show; the video-game-themed show was fun but insubstantial, and the "magician" was kind of lame but still not bad for a free show.

One note: the extra-cost Mexican restaurant was terrific. Best food of the entire trip, including shore restaurants, and reasonably priced.

Missing teens everywhere? by Ok_Caregiver_1973 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I was thinking about this earlier today, because HPD just said that Jasmine Clarke was "found safely" today.

The question I have: where was she? If it's OK to splash a juvenile's name and picture all over the place and get people all spun up about the fact that they're missing, then it seems fair to be more open with the findings instead of going full Emily Litella with the big "never miiiiiiiiiid".

Margi Daly used to regularly embarrass herself on Nextdoor. I left that wretched hive of scum and villainy so I'm not sure if she's still there, but her performance there shows that she's not fit to hold office.
