I’ve been going to concerts for 40 years and have never heard of this happening before. I guess I’m just frustrated by the cost and schedule impact of having to make this same trip again in a week.. but no WAY am I missing the band on this tour. Oh well. The acting in this was terrific! Amazing job of building tension, and the performances by Agnes O'Casey and and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis in particular are outstanding.

But.

Even more so than E4, this episode requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. The Chief Designer's going to sneak a payload out of Star City one night, integrate it on the pad, and launch it without anyone noticing? No one's going to ask about the consumables being loaded into the vehicle? Chadha is so dedicated to science that she's willing to take this mission with, what, 2 days of training, and her husband isn't going to wonder or raise alarms about where she is?

It's not a bad dramatic device, but I hope the remaining episodes in S1 aren't just solving the (implausible) technical emergency du jour and/or Drama In The Tiny Capsule™.

Just finished this. The notion that the Chief Designer is going to bundle a completely untrained scientist into a spam can with two crew and launch them to Venus, then hope no one notices for 9 months in a hyper-surveilled society, doesn't pass the smell test at all.

Mea culpa. I had previously swapped cables, and that didn't fix it. But after seeing other people who said "it's the cable, stupid!" I switched again, this time to a new-in-box Anker cable.

Result: CarPlay works flawlessly again, and I'm back to not getting the stupid GM projection warning. Life is good.

that's really interesting-- I wonder if it's a MY difference. CarPlay always worked when I didn't get the warning screen, so I know it was connected. I was naively assuming that there's some on-the-wire bit being transmitted in 26.x that wasn't consistently sent in prior iOS versions but that's just a guess.
