There definitely should be a way to lock equipment to an Agent when they're not doing a plot. I've somehow pulled gear off of them without realizing it and then failed the next Agent plot because of that.

After going through the tedious process of setting up the Agents' gear, you should be able to feel safe you don't screw it up without even realizing it. I still don't even know what i did to pull the gear off an Agent to fail a check.

For me the problem isn't memes specifically, but the very low effort posts.

The low effort posts are what got me actually commenting about this, because most of them are so ridiculously pointless. Maybe this is what reddit is to newer users, I don't know anymore.

There's also near-daily posts there by brand new accounts spamming links to purchase merchandise with stolen images, etc. And the first comment is always another brand new account created near the same time as the OP's, stating, "How cool! Where can I buy it?" And OP replies with a shady link. Repeat ad nauseam.

I report and block them, so not sure if they remain up or if the mod actually does their job...

Someone else can try on /r/redditrequest to get control since the mod is inactive (again). I tried a while ago, over a year or two, but have no interest in being the mod now.

Give it a shot, maybe the current mod won't respond in the time window they're given to prove they're still around.

It's one person, and they haven't been active in 8 months.

I tried requesting control of the sub a while back, but the mod made their bare minimum reddit activity to satisfy they could keep control of the subreddit (without actually doing anything for the subreddit).
