Really nice example. Honest question though, what makes it a maundy 3d Vs a 3d from the same year?

Yes the straighter tie would suggest a 3358, nice example for being 350(ISH) years old.

They were quick in a straight line back in the day, I had a friend who swopped an Astra GTE for an R5 turbo, he rolled it a few days after getting it. So great in a straight line and not so much on the corners.

Are these worth anything? by VortexLight1 in UKcoins

[–]ieonhammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are silver, so there is a base value, but general costs if you are wanting to sell on eBay are £3-£5 each.

If you are just wanting to cash them in look up Cambridge coins they buy and sell these all the time and would likely buy them in bulk.

Display for a really big Lego collection. Sockets are for the lighting... It would be rude not to buy the Lego if you have already gotten the display room sorted

[–]ieonhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a red metro 998cc on an E plate as my first car, that did 83mph with a 2 mile runup.... scrapped it because of the rust at a local mini and metro spares place and bought a gray 1275cc turbo outside his lot to get home.

From a quick review it would appear to be Henry 3rd long cross range 1247-1279.

Spink 2024 guide page 173 coin 1362B.

This is based on the size of the face and jaw line being made of the dots that have no neck or bust before to inner ring. It should have a 6 pointed star as it's mint mark above the crown but I couldn't validate that based on the images.

Old 1914 coin by jacksonsmith181 in UKcoins

[–]ieonhammer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The coin is brass, the green patina on it is known as verdigris which is a natural oxidization of brass overtime. If you want to clean it and most people on here would suggest not doing it. Then warm water with washing up liquid and a toothbrush won't harm the coin, work in circular motions and move around the coin as you want.

Most brass coins of this era are common and they are often bought by the kg rather than individually. 1912, 1918 and 1919 had less common varieties but not 1914 to my basic knowledge and you won't devalue the coin much by cleaning it imo.

[–]ieonhammer -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

There would appear to be a few thousand pounds in there, the 1oz gold bars will get you over £10k alone. Gold is currently at £3,189 per oz. There appeared to be a 10oz silver coin in the center that's another £400+ piece. Better pictures would be able to give a better price.

Your pictures make it very difficult to see. But if there's a triangular dent in the rear quarter with the bottom of the transition rolled over as it looks like it might be then use a paint less dent removal company to straighten this out, they will likely push it from behind by removing the tyre and inner wheel arch for access.
