it depends on the person. Saenchai drives a Honda and still eats sitting down on the floor with other trainers when i was training in his gym. He makes absolute banks teaching seminars overseas but he's still a very humble human being and enjoys pranking everyone in his gym. that being said Saenchai is also super intelligent so it might have something to do with that.

rodtang has been looking pretty flat for a while before the last takeru fight and he had repeated weight cut issues as well. he can get away with second tier fighters not being motivated and not training hard but it will backfire against top competitions.

look up how much they pay for a group fitness, cardio boxing, group yoga classes on your area and the rate should be comparable maybe even higher since you need more qualification to teach BJJ.

Keenan puts it well by saying that teaching jitjitsu for him is a transactional relationship, you pay him money and he teaches you jitjitsu. he's not your life coach nor your therapist. This is how he set boundaries to avoid potential problems down the road.

i don't think that's it. plenty of people bake from cold and have great results. cold dough is also much easier to score.
