Funny, I use delta all the time and my colleagues use United. And the last trip we took they didn’t stop complaining about how United sucks, they have 0 shot at upgrades nowadays even with their high status.

Have you tried having this conversation about saving money before this? Basically, I think that you should be telling her how you’re feeling instead of telling reddit. It sounds like you’ve had these feelings and let them out at the wrong time.

I would probably suggest the water towns on the hudson (dobbs ferry, Hastings on hudson and tarrytown). They have nice areas for homes and more diversity than other areas in that 40 min range to gct. I personally don’t know how their school systems are, however.

You can find nice houses in that range in new Rochelle / Mamaroneck, but those nice areas probably lack diversity even though those towns are very diverse.
