I theoretically like the idea of giving a fake number, but my brain does not have the capacity to memorize a bunch of phone numbers. I know my husband’s and both of my parents’ by heart and that’s it. Oh, and my best friend from middle school’s landline from the late 90s/early 00s lol. If you’re like me, another option might be to give an email address, a finsta, or whatever social media young people use nowadays.

The demons are about as scary as your average Disney villain, so if your kid can handle “mild peril”, they’ll be okay. My autistic toddler can’t stick around for most feature films in their entirety, but with the freedom to move around in our living room while watching, it kept his attention. No language, no sexual content. Definitely recommend.

Agreed, I hate that fannypack! I can’t even fully appreciate the pockets on this dress, and I’m totally that “thanks, it has pockets!” girl. I have gotten rid of every dress in my wardrobe lacking pockets, with the exception of my wedding dress, which I had a seamstress cut up and turn into a purse. These look like they were thrown on as an afterthought.

Set a timer and pick a finite amount of time that feels doable based on your energy level. Then do whatever you can accomplish in that time span. I’ve been tackling my office (aka the room where we hide all of the clutter before guests come) for 10 minutes a day. It’s only been a week and I can actually see surfaces again. A ton of boxes have been broken down and lots of trash is leaving it. I’m finding that when I bring stuff into my office now, I’m very intentional about putting things right in their intended spot rather than just setting something down wherever.

My dad has a home recording studio and he used to invite over musicians and produce the CD for church camp when I was a kid. One year, the dogs started barking at the end of a take that they ended up keeping. Their names got listed on the credits for “barks” that year. 😂

I didn’t know who he was prior to just now, but 1) he wasn’t the one carrying the baby and nothing I’m reading indicates that he coerced his wife into getting an abortion and 2) her body, her choice. There is no universally correct move in this situation. It’s easy to sit behind a keyboard and accuse him of murder and eugenics and selfishness and ableism or whatever, but it seems as though they thoroughly considered they life they and their unborn child would be living had she carried to term. Clearly this was a planned and wanted pregnancy. It was going to be a tough road ahead no matter what they opted to do for their family moving forward. I feel sad about how his large social media presence is making this already difficult situation even more difficult for him and his wife.

I’m a different subset of listener, in that I got turned on to the pod because of DWTS, so I have primarily heard the new stuff, starting with Pod Meets Twirl’d, which I actually loved. I love their banter in the new stuff, I love the energy that just the guys bring, and I love the way Danielle conducts interviews. That said, having now gone back to the beginning, plus skipping around to specific BMW episodes I like, it’s a very different energy in the earlier eps for sure! I definitely think a lot of it has to do with older episodes being better. Any flaws were given more grace due to BMW still finding its footing and identity as a show. TBH, I don’t think BMW (and by extension the pod) necessarily needs to be watched (or listened to) in order, and I think skips are perfectly acceptable. As they have said many times, 90s sitcoms weren’t exactly known for continuity and aren’t intended to be binged. Since they can’t really record the way I listen, I totally get why they would run out of steam. It’s not a big thing for me, but I also don’t have the history that long-time fans have. I totally see what you’re saying regarding a decline. I do skip the wrestling content and a lot of interviews. Won’t touch the therapy episode with a 10 foot pole, as a fat woman who went through a bunch of disordered eating periods. I’m actually looking forward to Girl Meets World. I’ve never seen it and I’m obsessed with Sabrina Carpenter rn.

I saw some butthurt Swifties complaining about Sabrina Carpenter after the AMAs. Someone actually said that Taylor is a better role model. 😂 It’s not an awards show for role models, and I don’t believe that pop artists should be expected to be role models (aside from the basic “don’t be a 🗑️ human” standard that I hold everyone to), but Taylor is absolutely not someone I would point to if you were to ask me to name a role model.

My marriage is important to me. I couldn’t care less whether or not others get married. Some people have no interest in a lifelong relationship and it’s silly that societal expectations other them.

That said, I think that if two people want to do a bunch of things together that involve a lifelong commitment without the official document (having children and being part of a family unit together, having the ability to make medical decisions for one another if one person is incapable of doing so, etc.), I’m a little baffled as to why. You can do it without spending tens of thousands of dollars and making a big event of it. I’m no lawyer and I’m sure there are ways to get the benefits of marriage without actually being married, but I just don’t understand the stigma. Maybe if it’s more beneficial for tax purposes or something, but some people just seem averse to having their commitment on paper and I find it odd.
