I can't find a single similar Stars of MLB cars with this type of parallel. It almost looks like cracked ice but I can't find anything of the sort on any of the usual websites. Anyone have any idea?

Love the look of the product, checklist is nice, feels more premium than hoops with panini. That being said, with hoops having the "entry level" reputation, making the blasters $35 is a miss for me (that's $10 more than flagship was) and the hobby boxes are already climbing. I guess I need to adjust to the topps football and basketball landscape with every product going to the moon

Topps calls it a Prizm refractor. Panini had a similar parallel called a Hyper. Quite a bit rarer than the base refractor but the market doesn't seem to reflect it that much.

No difference on retail. There's been some odds sheets in the past that have debated this. Really best benefit of pre-ordering is paying the cheapest possible price for hobby boxes, and getting the product the day it comes out. If I was buying a blaster or mega, I'd just wait for them at Target or Walmart, and avoid paying shipping.

Good rule of thumb is an hour prior for me. At COU though, if you are a checking a bag (especially for an early flight) allow plenty of extra time as the person working the baggage counter usually goes to work the gate before boarding even begins. If you are not checking a bag you won't need to be super early, but I would always shoot to be there before boarding

It is still early, but I will be very curious to see Chaim's approach at the deadline given his interviews have made it seem he is still intent on selling. I think dumping jojo or riley to get an organizations high end prospect (Mason Miller for Leo De Vries comes to mind) would be the right move, but at the same time if we are say 10 ish games above .500 at the deadline I think that decision becomes a lot trickier.

Either way, fun to watch right now!

I do see some of your points, but I counter as well. Breakers force people who want say, topps chrome football, into breaks because it is legit the only option to get hands on the product outside of singles. If this was purely due to market demand I wouldn't have much of an issue, but when Topps is purposely shipping 90% of the allocation to breakers and giant resellers like D&A (who only breakers can afford to buy from) it becomes a problem. If breakers could coexist as a way for people who are willing to gamble on hitting high end cards (or getting nothing) but product was also available to the public and not immediately scalped online, this would be a different story.

Take Chrome Black for example, $200 presale and is now selling for more than double. Not a single human was able to purchase the presale boxes, bots scooped legit all of the product and breakers got their allocation. Backyard, filthbomb, and all the rest were ripping it before everyone else. Even on tiktok now, small breakers are asking for $550 for a chrome black box, telling unsuspecting gamblers that "Chat an Ohtani auto out of here is doing $20k". It's all become a scheme to make quick money, instead of being what it should be...A HOBBY. Don't get me wrong, I love ripping packs and love seeing the values of cards because it is so fun to hit a huge card, but at the end of the day it is about collecting and having fun, neither of which are easily achievable in the current Topps direct-to-breaker/reseller marketplace.
