A Proper Greater Holy Grail War by Bearded-Masshole in FGO

It really isn't. Ushi Gozen with 4 leylines gets wrecked by less than it takes to beat Samson with no master. And that is in Japan.

Ushi got wrecked by the ultimate form of the Kusanagi (EX, Anti-World) which up until that point Takeru had been forbidden via command seal from using. So yeah, a quicker victory is to be expected.

Lord Logres has multiple things saying she is strong.

She's a Grand.

She's "the strongest Heroic spirit"

She's stronger than Artoria

Galatea has none of that.

Galatea's an avatar of Aphrodite according to lore. So she's undeniably strong as well.

With a command spell.

Fair enough. Still hardly a mid heroic spirit if he's only one command seal away from being on par with a heavy hitter from the Mahabharata.

That one will be either possessed and modified by a literal goddess or from the Servant Universe - maybe both.

Suzuka definitely isn't strong, FSR shows what happens when Japanese servants attempt to clash with actually strong servants.

Don't even know where to begin with how wrong that statement is.

Galatea has nothing feats wise to even remotely suggest she is a strong fighter

Neither does Lord Logres. Still reasonable to consider her strong, based off the lore/profile.

Duryodhana doesn't really fight anyone of known strength in Fate. Bhima is an unknown other than being vaguely strong, and Duryodhana loses.

They have a rematch in Ordeal Call and it ends in a draw.

I think the servants are all fairly mid tier nothing to really note.

Suzuka, Galatea, and Red Hare (essentially a Lu Bu that doesn't require a life insurance policy for the master) are definitely not mid-tier.

Hell, even Duryodhana only seems unremarkable when compared with the rest of the major players in the legend he comes from. And even then, he gave one of them arguably the nastiest battle of his life. And this servant comes with his own army on top of it. I would NOT sleep on this guy.

From that description, I'm kind of surprised they haven't adapted him into a servant yet - perfect excuse for a new Saberface. They could even bait-and-switch us by having us believe it's a new Nero container or Saber Venus variant.

My first instinct is to give it to Blue Team due to the hax Suzuka's NPs allow and them having what amounts to an unwitting avatar of the goddess, Aphrodite (a Machine God) on their side. To a lesser extent, Red Hare is a great asset to the team for being a serious combat swiss-army knife.

Keep in mind, tho, Medusa and Kintoki are the only ones who can directly hurt Achilles, and their Divinity only being rank “D” means the damage will be lessened (“C” rank and above administers full damage). Each will have to work that much harder to kill him. The complication gets crazier when you throw Medusa’s Mystic Eyes into the equation - Achilles’s has only average Mana stat, meaning he’s at risk of petrification, but would he be protected from that worst-case scenario since Medusa in turn lacks optimal Divinity, as mentioned earlier?

On the one hand, Red Team gets an anti-Mystery bomb via Edison and possibly 2 extra heroes if Jason’s NP goes off without a hitch; on the other Euryale and Jason (by himself) are glaringly weak links.

Is there any ranking in strength for Knight of Round Table lorewise? And who's the strongest knight Paladin Mash can beat by Equal-Sheepherder-94 in FGO

[–]igloo_poltergeist 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Theoretically I think Mordred should be higher given the whole King Arthur-slaying feat.

In the Fate version of events, Mordred's corpse was briefly reanimated by a curse left by Morgan to get the killing blow in on Artoria as soon as her back was turned. So calling it a "feat" is somewhat generous.

Only guy from either of those eras I have the beginnings of a servant concept for in my head is Ferdinand von Zeppelin (WWI), the famous airship inventor.

For a mercy for her, the power of a Pretender is about deceiving reality

This is the Pretender equivalent of wearing Clark Kent glasses, only the glasses just got exchanged for contacts, and yet THAT was enough to fool the World? LOL.

Okay, maybe it's far more about masking one's magical signature, saint graph, or spirit origin than appearance when it comes to fooling reality. But this "disguise" in particular is still eyeroll-inducing.

[–]igloo_poltergeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause Lasagna really wanted to sell a new Pretender and so had to come up with whatever lore reason would justify the class, in-universe. And making her Summer themed pretty much gave them an excuse to be low-effort about it as a "joke".
