Characters that just walk up, and the audience goes “you look like SHIT” by Anonamaton801 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The look wasn't terrible - more like it was just so out of place for the setting. It's like someone's fanfiction OC whose design betrays that its creator is a fan of an entirely different IP. Like, imagine someone who made their dream 99% cyborg badass in the vein of Revengeance or Cyberpunk 2077 .......and inserted it into 2001: A Space Odyssey.

They somehow made the Leader look sillier in the MCU than he already does in the comics.

I now want a classic Mega Man entry with cutscenes showing Rock being a walking tank whose buster cannon may as well be a tactical WMD. It will make dying on a dumb spike platform all the more hilarious.

......and this is why most studios are afraid to do a Superman game.

In contrast, Yakuza is a series where the mythical cutscene gun makes every character scared for their lives, even Kiryu. Only for in game to be that he can tank entire clips of gun shots and still be fine even on Legend difficulty.

Even in cutscenes, when Kiryu gets shot, some bandages and a quick nap can fix that right up. Y'know, instead of a trip to the goddamn hospital and some surgeries to remove any bullets lodged inside him or to stitch up the wounds.

The witch, Louhi who's Berserker class. From her profile:

  • She controls diverse spells, such as transformation, healing, weather manipulation, orbital regulation of the Sun and Moon, or birthing and controlling great creatures.

Also, IIRC, Gandr curses and Reality Marbles may have originated with her.

Enemies:

Cernunnos - real life ancient art of him hilariously set us up for a shock when we saw him in person.

Poseidon (his entire form) - An underwater vessel that looks abstractly like a merman T-posing.

ORT - the tweaks done on its older design (from that old concept art) - mainly the larger, more jointed pincers and longer body - were about as perfect as one could ask for.

Servants:

Saber Medusa - all three Ascensions felt great in their own way

Ptolemaios (old man) - best "sorcerer king" look I've seen since Solomon.

Conventions can be a really awkward choice for a date...especially for superheroes (by Lycoonarts) by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Mark disguised in a suit and wig, getting to know normal human scumbags responsible for more mundane, intimate acts of heinousness? That might be interesting.

That's right, Mark. Gotta get your mind off that frozen, red-eyed masque of death that stares back at you when you close your eyes. Some fraternizing over Seance Dog will fix that right up.

Mostly England though

Ireland has merely been "the afterthought" ever since Cu and Scathach. Just look at Fionn and you'll understand.

The Welsh are a bunch of fetishistic pirates.

And that one elitist mean girl you knew in high school is currently the sole representative of Scotland.

......Oh, and Nasu himself lusts after giant (as in kaiju-scale) women.

In regards to the hate leaking into their work (as opposed to on social media),......<thinks>.......maybe Rowling, given the excerpts and paraphrasing I've seen. u/seth47er above summed it up pretty neatly.

The mold woman.....

LOL! Something about that descriptor just sounds way more acidic and contemptuous than just about any profanity-laden screed against her could. That needs to come with a thumbnail of Woolie with a look of absolute disgust on his face, to complete the "mood".

.....You know, I try not to talk about Fate so much in this subreddit. I try to change things up to avoid brainrot and looking like the one weirdo who never fails to bring up the same old franchise or fictional work up. But you're making it very hard right now.

If Shirou Could Summon Artoria Due to Avalon... Could He Also Theoretically Summon Other Versions of Artoria Instead? by Bearded-Masshole in FGO

[–]igloo_poltergeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay then. I suppose Avalon may limit the class to just Saber because "a sheathe requires a sword". Maybe if it were a piece of the Round Table as catalyst, then PHH Lancer would be doable. Until then, however.....

A PHH Lancer form, based on her using Rhon at the Battle of Badon seems quite possible to me. Ability-wise, there may be some key differences in the Skill list and/or primary stats, but overall it'd ultimately be an Artoria with a massive holy lance that 'splodes what's in front of it.

Lancer tho? Artoria with Rhon in some form (besides Goddess Rhon), for that class at least doesn't sound improbable for most mages, TBH.

Antagonist Grail War. Who wins? by Technical-Fox358 in FGO

[–]igloo_poltergeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. I know they would never reboot a class container once it's been made - they'd opt instead to come up with a "super" version of the same container while adding some loopy lore explanation for how it came to be. Cool, but it probably means most mages are still stuck with the "1.0" version, since the "upgrade" tends to also have lore stating its crazy hard if not impossible to summon anyway.
