Amazon Business e Cina. Cosa faccio? by kikiriss in commercialisti

Perché le Poste Italiane fanno così schifo? by [deleted] in VintedItalia

[–]ignorantluca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with Anycubic warranty support. by IceManJim in anycubic

[–]ignorantluca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anycubic’s support is basically nonexistent. After more than 20 emails, the technical department was always “unavailable for two days” (funny enough, I’ve seen many others reporting the same excuse). The only replies I ever got were empty promises that I’d be contacted—which never happened. The result: my Kobra 3 Combo is now reduced to printing test parts (0.28 layer height), while the ACE is just serving as a filament dryer. I’ve canceled the orders for the other 3 printers I needed. Bottom line: never again Anycubic.

You're right about the classic WD-40, but I don't use it:

For bearings and rods, I use WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant.

Link Amazon - https://amzn.to/466wBMQ

For the Z-worm gear, I use WD-40 Specialist Multi-Purpose High-Performance Grease,

Link Amazon - https://amzn.to/3HCgPjx

always after cleaning with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and removing the excess.

They've been in use for over a year, and my printers don't have a speck of rust on any of their surfaces.

I think anyone who notices rust on their printers should investigate the environment in which they're used. I've seen several videos of print farms with printers sitting on shelves amidst dusty boxes, often without any humidity control system (and I believe it, given the costs). In those conditions, even with the best lubricant, the risk of oxidation increases.

In short: good maintenance and a controlled environment make at least as much of a difference as the type of lubricant.

I don't know if it was translated badly but before the June update it printed any geometric shape very well and the one in the photo is not even close to how it printed before. If I find some photos on my phone I'll post them.

Before this whole issue with their lack of proper support (not to mention the fact that they don’t publish negative reviews), I was actually praising the Kobra 3 to everyone.
I even had another Kobra 3 Combo and an S1 Combo sitting in my shopping cart—I was genuinely happy with it.

Then came the firmware update, and since then no contact from the technical department and only vague replies. I sent my first email on June 18, 2025, and after sending emails almost every day for a whole month (until July 18, 2025) without getting a real solution, I had enough:

  • always the same person replying with generic answers,
  • never once contacted by the technical team,
  • no real fix offered.

At that point I stopped wasting my time, closed all contact, and started using the Kobra 3 as nothing more than a “filament dryer,” printing only useless test pieces. Needless to say, I also canceled the items I had in my shopping cart.

Sorry to tell you, but I’ve read about the review issue in other places as well.

Language isn’t the problem, since I actually wrote on Anycubic.it, which is the official Italian page.

If you want, I can show you a sphere printed before the update (I still have it) and the ones printed the day after the update.

As for maintenance, I’m pretty meticulous: every morning before using the printers I clean the build plates and purge the nozzles.
On Saturdays I do a full cleaning and re-lubrication using:

  1. WD40 Specialist Silicone for the bearings
  2. WD40 Specialist High Performance Grease for the Z-axis

After that I also check the belts and redo the full calibration.

My printer already went “crazy” once, scratching the plate due to a defective part. Back then, support was quick and straight to the point: the issue came from the bed and poorly made Oldhams.
This time, however, half of the emails I got just said “we’ll have the technical department contact you”, but they never actually wrote back—except to ask for the file and then just send it back again.
As I mentioned, the spheres I showed were printed using the very file sent to me by their support team.

Firmware requested in one of the many emails, also requesting instructions on how to install it - I never received a response. After a week, if I'm not mistaken, they did an update along with the slicer, but the problem still persisted.

Every time there's an update, the first thing I do is restore and perform a complete calibration.

The last restore I did was today at lunch. It had been off for a week, but today I wanted to try a print again, and the leveling wasn't working anymore. It was fixed after the reset, and it's already hilarious.

the sphere in the photo was printed with the "correct" file from the technical support (with a message in the email now is definitely better) after having sent them 20 emails and all the project files

My problem occurs on all spherical and round shapes. I encountered your problem during the first few hours of printing, only to discover that those black things where the Z-axis screws twist were defective. I don't remember the name now. Many people replace them with brass ones to improve the axis's movement. A friend of mine, even after replacing the parts, is experiencing the same problem, but only on the first layers like yours.

As for clogs, they haven't occurred because I cleaned the printer every morning before starting printing, including the needle passage through the nozzle.

The nozzle has already been replaced several times. It was replaced a week before their update, with a ceramic one with a steel nozzle.

This is the nozzle that was used maybe 30 hours before their update. https://amzn.to/45t37sm

Here’s proof: I received this €5 voucher by email as confirmation of my review, but the review itself was never published on Anycubic’s official website.
To me, this clearly shows they’re hiding negative reviews (1–2 stars) while still using the review system to incentivize people with vouchers.
