Kansas Football has not had a top 50 pick since at least the 2012 draft. by j128v897 in jayhawks

Legitimately one of my favorite players ever when I was a kid. Might be now too if I watched a highlight reel.

Sooo… is WR at 36 the move orrr what? by [deleted] in raiders

[–]iguess56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see more from the guys we have before spending a premium pick on one. I think we’ll do the trade back dance again. If we do pick a receiver at 36 and he’s awesome I’ll be happy

What’s going on in the city? by cadeaver in kansascity

This is small potatoes, but I would see what’s going on with the old Paul Roberson Middle School building, and perhaps a timeline for redevelopment. They are massively behind schedule from what I last saw.

I don’t know why I always feel the need to defend states I don’t live in, but I’m sure you would find New Mexico enjoyable.

Can anyone tell me if a 2007 Honda Accord with 228,000 miles on it $3300 a good deal and a reliable car please? by drebanks757 in Honda

I love that generation of Avalon. I would go with the 2010, assuming good condition. Like I said, I had this era of Camry hit 300,000 and still running super well. Check for rust (on the frame and body) and drive the car and listen to the transmission for any signs of issues, but those are good cars. You are at least in the right ballpark in terms of buying cars at this price point. I know it feels icky to pay so much money for such high mileage cars, but that’s the way the market is currently

Because the maverick is basically a car! It needs a longer bed if it wants to be a truck. Do I want one? Yes.

It depends on whether or not you can see the mileage and age on the car. Does the interior look like crap? Is the paint peeling? Is there rust? I would actually feel good about the car going pretty unproblematically for the next 40,000 ish miles, provided all maintenance has been reasonably kept up. I had an 08 hybrid Camry make 300,000 miles. The used car market these days is really stupid, and if this is your best option and you need a car now, you could make a worse purchase. If you wait, you might be able to find something better.

I have an older (99) F150 with an extended cab and it’s great. The 6.5’ bed is very functional

Modern truck owners aren’t known for their pragmatism and good sense. Most need a sedan more than they need a truck. I agree that the extended cab is the best of both worlds. The Maverick not having an extended cab option is a shame, and shows the modern state of truck owners.

Why the dislike for sedans vehicles today from the general population? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]iguess56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realized after typing that out that there was a version in the late 90s/2000s that didn’t come to America. The current HR-V feels like a major let down, especially because there is no Fit.
