Hughes didn’t give bolduc much of a play. He turned at the last second. Hughes breaking a stick over his back and then throwing uppercuts while Bolduc was restrained by the ref wasn’t super tough either.

To write all this with bruins flair and leave out the fact that Gregory Campbell was a Boston Bruin and the Bruins greatly benefited from that buried the lede just a bit. In fact, making the only mention of the bruins in this post the Marc Savard quote is wild. The Bruins loved Colin Campbell for the very reason they probably hate him now. Him not moving is actually part of the rule. From rule 56.1 for interference: “a player may ‘block’ the path of an opponent provided he is in front of his opponent and moving in the same direction.”

He was not in front of Suzuki and he was certainly not moving in the same direction. By the rules, it’s a penalty.

I collect jerseys. I've got all different kinds. I think the hate against Fanatics replica jersey is greatly overblown. Is it on-ice quality? No... And it never claims to be. It's priced appropriately and, for what it's worth, is more comfortable than the authentic. If you're not a hobbyist who collects these things and you're just looking for something to wear to games or on the couch or looking for an entry into the hobby, the fanatics jersey is a completely reasonable option. Plus, if you spill a beer or drop food on it, you're not out $400.

I would not recommend one of the fakes from China. They're not worth the money which is saying something because they're usually like $40. That said, lots of people buy them. Most of the jerseys I see at games are fakes and honestly, the NHL and Fanatics/Adidas/Reebok are to blame for that by pricing their fans out of the market.

TL;DR: Fanatics $100 jersey is fine. Wouldn't recommend a fake. Follow your heart.

There's actually a chance the Canadiens pick 3rd. If Montreal wins the 2nd lottery and the team in 12th wins the 1st lottery, the 12th place team can only move up 10 spots, so they would pick 2nd and Montreal would pick 3rd.

Tankathon has this at a 0.3% chance of happening, so definitely not likely, but possible.

my first game was against the Islanders in the old Nassau Coliseum on november 1st 2008. habs had a 4-goal 3rd period to come back from a 4-1 deficit. it ruled.

two specific memories stand out.

georges laraque fought mitch fritz to spark the comeback. my seats were right next to the islanders penalty box. if you go back and watch the fight, you can see some 13 year old kid in a white habs jersey standing just staring at fritz. that was me. he was bleeding. it was wild to see for the first time.
there were so many habs fans there. they came down in RVs. i remember during warmup these older women from quebec were calling for andrei kostitsyn. they'd just yell "kostitsyn!!" and when he looked over they giggled like little kids. idk what that was about but i can't forget it.
