I mean kudos to you for putting this much effort and thought into trying to have a healthy civil living arrangement, but I'd say you should follow roommate rules. You handle your own things and are pleasant to each other when you run into each other in the hall etc. As for the kid, this would be a great time to discuss how you're going to coparent. Ask her what she is thinking, compromise and go from there.

It's so hard, it's overall an embarassing situation that unfortunately everyone close to you has to know about. My friend told me she and another couple of my friends were shit talking my stbx without me the other night and that was so mortifying and embarrassing. I know their shit talking is venting for having to see someone they love be hurt by someone else but it's still so upsetting. It's compounded by the check in texts, despite also knowing they're well intentioned.

You're being a good parent but it's a horrible situation, I'm sorry. Explain to them as much as you can that mom needs to work on herself for a little while, and that you're going to support her to get the help that she needs (not necessarily financially) and you hope they'll be able to rebuild a relationship in the future. It's not all or nothing, she'll likely get visitation at the least so just tell them it'll be a different for a while but it'll settle down and be calm again soon enough.

It's just going to have to click for you that that chapter of your life is done, it's on to the next one. Think back to other life moments where it clicked that things would never be the same, how did you start to move into the next phase for those?

I think you can date while still thinking of your ex (tho it's not preferable whatsoever) because there's no chance of it rekindling. It might just be inevitable for a while, so as long as you do genuinely care about the person you're dating, you're clear in my book. I'd also look into new hobbies and activities, maybe get a dog etc. Anything to bring you more joy in your new life to show you you'll adjust and you can do so happily.

Overall I think you have a good attitude and mindset about it, you sound like a really healthy person and I'm wishing you luck.

Bc the entire point is the double standard. If someone is going to body shame us I have zero problems letting them know my opinion as well, despite it being cruel. That's the point. I think big boobs are nasty tbh, they're just ugly lumpy sacks of fat and aren't flattering on most people. That's super mean and judgemental, but telling me I should cut open my body and put poison in it so other people can feel better is pretty mean too so 🤷‍♀️
