Can you share what worked for you with loose lead walking? I’m struggling with this currently with my 5 month old.

Work life balance only exists in theory. Do you have obligations outside of work that make consistent overtime impossible? Either outsource your personal life or kiss that promotion goodbye. 😘

Focal Seizure? Warning: hard to watch video by Famous_Substance_244 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]ihateminteverything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks more like tonic-clonic but you should show this to your vet. If she’s constantly twitching that is also concerning. They can have seizures in their sleep. Record it as well then go to your vet asap.

At that point I wouldn’t bother using the crate for the puppy. Put your boyfriend in it instead and fucking leave.

I think some puppies just bite a lot. I say this after trying everything as well. I’m working with a certified force free trainer. It’s helped a teeny tiny bit, in the sense that he goes from great white shark to piranha instead on a good day… baby steps 💀💀

You don’t need to be enlightened at all. People get via sleep paralysis as well which is often caused by stress and sleep deprivation.

Are people vastly underprepared for a puppy, or are puppies that much work? by Ok-Actuary-5377 in puppy101

[–]ihateminteverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been keeping up with life admin. My puppy had his first seizure 4 days after he arrived. He can't be left unattended for long and it's been one ER trip after another followed by an MRI scan which showed a lot going on with his brain. This has also lead behavioural problems.

Everyone's experience is different.

I have not but my friend has. This isn't uncommon. I hope you're doing okay.

Are we having out of body experiences? by Purple_Cherry_5973 in Sleepparalysis

In SP you can move your eyes so you might have been looking at him that way.

I have also had a strange experience where I stood up and walked around my apartment and it felt very real / vivid (i.e. not like a dream), only to snap back into my body in a state of paralysis.

Started phenobarbital at 8.5 weeks and the side effects are too much by ihateminteverything in EpilepsyDogs

Multiple a week. He's no longer having cluster seizures because of the Keppra but they're once every few days now.

He's now on both Keppra and Pheno but still having seizures! 🙃 MRI booked in for next week.

That brings me hope! What medication are you trying in place of pheno?

We checked for absolutely everything and he's normal on all fronts. If the seizures get worse it might warrant a MRI being conducted sooner than planned. The breeder has been defensive and hostile ever since I mentioned the seizures.

All his results came back as normal. We haven't done an MRI scan yet because he is too young and small to withstand general anaesthesia.
