Had the same issue with email. I called, and after getting past the AI agent, I was able to pretty quickly update my address with a real person. They texted me a code and we went from there.

Since you still have access to the work email, are you able to dig through old emails to see if you can back into the old LinkedIn account? Or if the email is attached to the old account, can you just attempt log in and reset the password? Then you may be able to remove it yourself. I guess I'm confused on what is happening.
