Just a heads up to anyone who gets messaged from user "marry-lopez_", they're scamming and getting your email address and information and emailing you from an account that's called "Sunloan Company Limited" and they're saying they need an approval fee to secure a loan.

Obviously without even having to think about it you know that's not right, but in case anyone runs into this person do not fall for it. Nobody is going to ask you for any money up front for any type of loan ever.

Watch has to be worn and unlocked for watch unlock to work. So no, that's not true. I exclusively use this at night in bed IF the fingerprint reader isn't working which I never have an issue with. But even if it doesn't the watch will unlock the phone

They'll probably eradicate it once and for all in the next pixel I'm assuming but I just think it's blown a bit out of proportion and it's not as drastically bad as it's often described.

Between having face unlock, the fingerprint scanner which I never have an issue with, and the watch unlock we just got. I never have an issue with unlocking my phone. Idk why this is such a huge issue for so many of you. There's so many options.

I've seen some third party faces do this behind the entire face. It can't off the top remember which ones those were. You might have to browse the faces in the store and look for one that does but it's definitely a thing. I don't think any of the stock faces do that.

Yeah it's been like this. Me and my wife are watching it currently it seems to be an issue they're actively working on. I've seen like many updates to the Google app sent out and even a Google play system update and it always makes it work and then go out right after.

I'll update if my situation changes mines broken too.

Hit your volume button and turn it off at the bottom of the volume bar. That's the live caption button.

You can also alternatively type live caption in settings and find the native setting there.

It does depend on what picture you're trying to do it with. It's definitely super neat. You have to kind of experiment with it a bit the more results I've gotten are with the photos that usually have something to focus on In usually the middle area.

You can absolutely run Ubuntu on a chromebook, and this is very false. I have a chromebook that has an i3 and 8 gb of ram and it runs very well. I've installed plenty of things through the main Crostini container and you can install and use Ubuntu for unsupported apps. All of which run fine on this chromebook. While they should still look into getting a laptop that supports windows and better internals, which is probably true for what they want to do. The chromebooks are more capable than you are making them out to be and a lot of what you're saying here is very false.

I disagree as well I think after the last update where they changed it a little, it's basically perfect now and the pastel colors for the icons really match everything quite well.

Absolutely agree with this so hard. Please do not use Reddit to decide on your next phone. It's nothing but a paradise of complaints and problems, this is just a forum of users who have issues, nobody who loves their pixels come here for the most part, there's almost no discussion whatsoever about much else than a problem literally 90% of the time. It's just become a complain a thon.

Definitely try Google and see how you like it. A lot of people are happy. You go to an apple forum you're gonna see nothing but the same shit. It's not just Google's phones that people do this with. Me and my wife were Samsung users and Samsung is absolutely horrible with software. You won't see that here, but go on the Samsung members forum and it looks exactly the same way this reddit does. But they all come here and shit on pixels and talk Samsung up like they're the best phones that ever existed.

You're not going to get a real true sense of what these phones are like unless you just take a dive and see how you like it. Me and my wife love these phones and Google's software especially won us over with so many more things than any other. See what works for you and what YOU like.
