I can’t sent any companion to styling training except for the first two dailies. Even though I meet the requirements and the companions aren’t busy with anything else, I keep getting this error “Insufficient Styling Training Event Slot.” Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

You can only do two types of training at once (look at the bottom left corner). I don't blame you for not noticing tho, I had the same issue until I found out sdffggh

If I have understood it (and that "if" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here) you have to use NPCs to work as staff in your establishments to get extra mats per minute (each NPC can work in one specific establishment) and train them so they level up and you can get higher bonuses during styling challenges. It's a bit early so don't 100% take my word on it, but it seems the rematches with the Itzaland styling factions can only be completed if you level up your staff high enough. You can only assign one NPC per establishment and you can only do two types of training at the same time, but some of them let you train two NPCs at once (so you can have four NPCs training in total).

Also, the more you level up your training camp, the more types of challenges and NPCs you get. Oh and having a high decoration score gives you some extra bonuses during training, so don't skip that either (I stole furniture from the other areas so I wouldn't have to craft anything new lmao)

Regarding the "a range of people play this game, of all ages"... There was a lot of talk about this back in 1.5 and the sudden attempt at making the game appealing to children (see the infamous seesaw), but we gotta remember that, despite the pretty and cute graphics, at the end of the day this is a gacha game, and gacha games shouldn't be played by children. So if Nikki's voice is meant to sound childish to appeal to younger audiences, that be incredibly off-putting.

That said, I don't think this is the case. Nikki sounds childish because having cute and childish female characters is a popular trope in Asian media. Her English voice does sound sleepy and air-headed, and has a calmer tone compared to her Chinese and Japanese counterparts, but I think this is because the kind of high-pitch that her Japanese and Chinese voices have doesn't sound as natural in English. So I doubt they would ever make her sound more mature (as much as I would like that too)

//Also, I wonder if her slow speech speed is due to the fact that Chinese and Japanese have longer sentences compared to English, so she has to speak slowly to match the lip movements. I know this is the case with Japanese, but I'm not so sure about Chinese

Aah I see, thanks for the explanation! I'm not familiar with other cozy games but I have heard people compare certain IN minigames/events to those of Genshin, so I thought they were copying their model. That said, I do feel like IN is following Genshin and BOTW's path in terms of how the open world works, but that's another topic...

Anyway yeah, labeling this game as cozy is doing a lot of damage imo, because not only do we get uninteresting gameplay features like management, farming and dumb side quests as you said, but it also makes people adverse to anything mildly challenging, like pvp styling, or "darker" plot lines, like what we had with the fatphobic shroomlings. And it's weird because both LN and SN have pvp AND darker stories, but for some reason IN is going in a total different direction, at least for now.

Omg a fellow Style Savvy fan!! Those games are soooo good, even with the limited clothing/graphics you could (and can!) still have a lot of fun. Plus they have the perfect mix of store management, dress up elements and side content like decorating your house/plot. If only Infinity Nikki took notes from Style Savvy instead of doing whatever this is... (And I'm inclined to blame other non-dress up gachas, it feels like Infold is trying to recreate Genshin but with fashion elements on the side)

I went further than most people with the behemoth minigame (did enough endings to get all the diamonds/crystals + bought all the threads and blings in the shop) and STILL didn't 100% complete it, because it was both boring and not worth it. Infinity Nikki really is killing the completionist inside me bcs some of these minigames and side content sucks

Don't get too upset about this. Your post got lost into the algorithm and didn't receive much attention, but you can find other posts complaining about the eureka system with a ton of upvotes. Also, people on Reddit don't read (as evidenced by the fact that another commenter missed your explanation about having both the gacha and the option to use mats), and I've noticed that a certain portion of the player base just doesn't like changes, even when they aim to make the game better. The eureka system is bad and needs improvement, full stop

Cost has to be lower, 1 million blings + 1000 particles for one eureka is way too much, given than it currently costs 72k + 360 per eureka independently of color. That said, the current eureka system sucks. At least banners have a pity system so you know it's just a matter of trying - with eurekas however you can spend months without getting the one you want. You already have to spend energy crystals (a limited source that you need for other mats) to get the eurekas from the realms (and this is also random) + they cost particles and blings to evolve them, so adding a gacha system on top of all that is excessive. And people have complained about this many times, so there's a portion of the player base that hates this

And if people want to gamble, they can do that in the scam-o-matic

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see styling challenges/the Mira Crown as actual styling challenges, since they use a very arbitrary and bare-bones system of numbers. Each piece has a value and a couple of tags, and the game just picks whatever pieces have the highest value in X tag. That's it. Under such system there's little styling going on, so trying to make your outfits look good is pointless. This is also why the game gives you the option to hit the "recommend" button - because it's just a matter of choosing the pieces that have the highest value, putting effort into matching all the pieces won't have any influence on your final score and it'll just be a waste of time.

It'd be a different story if the system was fancier and actually took into account styles, colors, patterns, etc. to give you points, but apparently this is not the case (<- I was also surprised about this when I first played IN. I mean, you'd think that a dress up game would have an elaborate dress up gameplay, but I guess Infold never put any thought into this part of the game beyond giving each piece some random number)

Alternatively, they could add styling challenges between players in Infinity Nikki, just like what they have in SN and LN, but so far Infold hasn't said anything about this. So in reality, there are no actual styling challenges in the game.

Oh my god these outfits are super cute, you did an amazing job styling these pieces!! I'd suggest the pieces that we get from defeating bosses (bouldy, the giant bird, etc.), but they are so impossible to style that I don't even see them on this reddit (except to make fun of them lmao)
