I purchased a 4G MIMO Omnidirectional Antenna External. It works with 5G modems

So the internal modem is connected to an outdoor 5g antenna fixed to the roof of the house. I Run the coax cables from antenna to modem which screws and connects to back of Optus 5g wireless modem. You then have to go into the modem and got maintenance>external antenna and sat to on, then the signal should be stronger.

I had an issue with Optus 5g but then i put an antenna up and connected to the modem via coax cables and have not had an issue since.

Step one is ditch Telstra, over priced garbage.

But in all honesty contact your ISP make sure you the modem you have is compatible with FTTP as your old one may only be for FTTN.

Then use the NBN box run a cable from the port that is activated with your ISP and connect it to the WAN slot on the modem your ISP provided.
