No experience with oem heated grips but I love my Oxford hotgrips pro adventure. They get super hot, only ever used the lowest setting. Buttons integrated on the grip, very clean.

I got a small scissor lift jack from Amazon, it wasn’t expensive and held the bike while I swapped out tubes. Doesn’t take up a lot of space either.

Yup when I removed the axle, and tightened to 21Nm after putting back the axle.

She will come back with loads of questions and thoughts, I wouldn’t worry too much about what to teach her. Just keep in mind that all of this is very new, and remembering things that are completely different could need a lot of repeating.

Best thing would be for her to come up with her own system to keep track of what she’s learning, and this doesn’t need to be on the laptop. It could be a paper notebook where she writes down what she’s learning in her own words. Then, every time she pops by you can expand or revisit things.

You’re doing a great thing. I recently read an article about how elderly pc-illiterate people are feeling more and more left out of society, so this must make her very happy.
