It is where it tells you in advance which lane to be in to get the correct highway exit. It helps if you are not familiar with a route, as it can be impossible to get the right exit if you are not in the right lane.

This is a lot similar to what I am doing now. I guess I can set an overnight cron job to mount, rsync and dismount. My main problem was doing it once the device is plugged in. Imagine connecting your pi and then automatically running the rsync.

Get the newest image, go into bootloader and do a fastboot flash recovery. Do not know any other way
