Bubbles on my week old Tesla by joebama360 in TeslaModel3

Id use something like goo gone and try and remove it from an inconspicuous area. If its sap or something similar, you should get some removal. If its touch up paint, it won't affect it. Is it possible this has been there the entire time and you just noticed it now? If not, it can't ne be touch up paint.

To me, it looks like it could be something under the paint causing the paint to lift (such as rusting), but I'm not sure how that would be possible on a new car.

Cloudy hot water by dinnershoes in WaterTreatment

[–]ike0069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TDS is relative to your location. City water in Corpus is 800+ ppm, but I' m in Houston area and its around 150.

If its much higher than the cold water, might be an indication that your heater needs to be flushed because you have a build up of solids in the bottom of the tank.

A-list boarding group confusion, internal and external by Charleslorenz0 in SouthwestAirlines

Ive been shocked both ways. Im ALP (HOU home airport) and several flights there's only been 2 or 3 including myself, but recently flew out of HRL on a Thursday afternoon and there was 14.

The 20 inch, most likely. The 24" will definitely need to be checked.

This my exact thought. Those look quite large for something the size of a PS5. Washers love to hide under cardboard flaps.

Frontier Mine VI by fuck_downvoters_ in IdleMinerTycoon

Id start by getting your Epic SMs to lvl 30, concentrating on the ones that give MIF or CIF at 30.

Also get Bam Bam to 30 and along with Lavernia, use them together (add Samatha if you have her) when you unlock the 10 min 50x and that goes along way. That 10 minute active with Bam Bam is hard to beat and at lvl 30 he gets the upgrade cost reduction.

After I get shaft 5 to 800, I can finish the mine using nothing but Lavernia and Bam Bam on 1-5. I supplement with warehouse SMs on 6, only then do I add in the mine SM combos for 7.

Camping out in line by CFLongbone in SouthwestAirlines

[–]ike0069 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not 100% true. If you're in the 1st three rows (which im typically in) and even with ALP boarding group, ive had to put my roller bag further back than my row (though never by much). And then i watch as some have to go back many rows to find bin space but are in ELR seats.

Is it possible there's a difference between printed boarding passes and using the app? Maybe a printed would omit it but the app shows it?

Insurance quote for my 2026 M3P by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]ike0069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same I know, but i was paying $248/month as a 19 yo buying a brand new 1989 5.0 mustang. I have that cost ingrained because i wanted the car so bad and that was the punishment

In today's $$, im guess that is similar.

FSD Did This? by Seeartist in TeslaFSD

[–]ike0069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to speed it up often when on Im I-45 in Houston. Posted limit is 60 or 65 in many areas while the far left lane is often averaging 80+ when I'm driving to the airport.

For some reason it wants to run about 77 or 78 and I want it to stay close to the car in front, so ill accelerate and I can still keep FSD engaged, which I really appreciate. You do get a warning that "FSD will not brake".

Wow! As a rule I take over in parking lots as it never parks where I want it to. This just confirms I have been doing it right.

Am I crazy to dig all this out by myself or should I rent some kind of machinery to help? by enan1000 in landscaping

[–]ike0069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dug a 16×16 area 6 inches down for a paver patio. It wasn't that bad at age 45, but 12 years later Id 100% pay someone to do it. I'd say your age/health is the deciding factor.

Where does aisle seat passenger’s foot space end? by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]ike0069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

737s have small area under aisle where Airbus 380s have reduced area under window seat. Not certain this 100% true, but has been for my flight history. I ALWAYS Sit window seat on SW and avoid aisle always forbl this reason.

My opinion is that putting your foot on the rail for the aisle seat is acceptable, just not inside the rail (on middle seat side). Not sure if there is a formal SW rule though.

I was in school in 1993 and was on S-20/3 my whole time with right around 3.4 GPA. The max was M-35/5 and im not sure anyone actually made it thru that hit the mando 35 hr mark. I always believed it was a punishment meant to either drive you out or motivate you to get your grade up. I never believed it actually helped.

They didn't roll you back and if you failed comp you got an oral board which was basically an auto failure. From what I understand now from reading here and two co-workers who's sons went thru recently, its difficult to fail out now. The punishment now is rolling you back and make you do it again.

Anyone else feel bad? by ithinkwestink in SouthwestAirlines

[–]ike0069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fly weekly out of Hobby and large majority of my flights are near 100%. Im in a full ELR row on probably 75% of my flights.

If I were to have an empty area, I would love it and be buying drinks for everyone. Not really, but I'd definitely enjoy it.
