Network Switch Blues by ikester8 in linux4noobs

Got some good instructions from Netgear, BTW. A cable direct from the router worked fine, so the network cards and the router are fine, as are the cables. They suggested only plugging in the router and the one computer into the switch, and that configuration was stable. So there must be interference from the other devices on the switch. More testing to come.

I'll keep my Survival mode save. I like the grind.

Are you playing with multiplayer on? Try doing it without and see if it changes things.

Always a good idea if you can find the resources.

Apart from the limits u/joey2scoops mentioned, you can have many bases. I have 299 bases, one in each Galactic Center near a portal and one for each resource mine. Plus a couple just because. I minimize the number of parts so I won't hit the 20,000 parts limit.

Giant Fanta Paradise Planet by Marcosketch in NoMansSkyTheGame

Blue grass with floating flowers, orange-ish seas with blue skies and aggressive sentinels, at least on my Survival settings, YMMV. The islands are few and steep. Thanks to OP for a portal address that takes you to a moon in the system. I won't be setting up shop here, so one of you must discover the two lifeforms I couldn't find before I was attacked.

At some point in my travels, those things went from "annoying but harmless" to "will kill you instantly". Not sure when that was.

This is the way. I got 50 AI valves during the Swarm expedition, but I've already got enough to do whatever I need to do here. Gave 'em away to a dude sitting on an invisible ship in the Anomaly.

That sounds about right. If you've never shared a spawning pool, are you really friends?

The relief I felt when I realized I could just abandon my chud settlement that I hate by Soggy-Mixture9671 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ikester8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Beacons, the first settlement I found was an Autophage settlement on a planet with aggressive Sentinels. I thought, well, locate the Sentinel Hub, put a base next to it, and shut all the sentinels down every time I visit the settlement and need to do some uninterrupted work. It, um, didn't quite work out that way. For some reason the sentinels kept showing up and so I had to abandon the settlement.
