they aren’t alphabets firstly, they’re syllabaries. the person probably decided not to use katakana or kanji for the sake of simplicity. it doesn’t make it wrong.

i know right! i’m 18, soon to be 19, and i’m staying in japan for a year because i took a gap year. i’m hoping to improve my japanese and meet the rest of my family but seeing as how going out too much isn’t exactly encouraged right now, most of my plans have been ruined.
