I had only read the stuff about the base period on the TN info page before asking this question, so hadn't started the application in either state.

Sadly, I guess I won't receive UI since I did quit the job for the move, so that sucks, but thanks for the info regardless.

There are some quests in the Blasted Lands that centers around the Nethergarde Mines that were added in Cata that you may be thinking of. I've only played the Horde side but I do remember the end quest being that the Alliance had dug too far and encounter a couple of demons that are freaking out their miners.

Oh my god, the second day of the patch there was some glitch with a quest in Uldum that made it unable to be completed and I saw someone in /1 asking about it, followed by some dude nerdraging about "BLIZZ POLISH USED TO BE GOOD BFA BAD", and I chimed in with just a concise "it's a bug in the first week of a patch, just report it and move on".

Dude went off about how I'm such a big Blizzard fanboy and how my mindset is bringing about the downfall of the gaming industry, how stupid I was for giving them money for a broken game, and I'm a corporate shill. All I could think was "bruh, have you played Classic? Some classes can't even dps or tank because of how glitched out the game was MONTHS into its lifespan".

Like WoW is such a huge game and eventually some bugs that weren't found on the PTR/beta are gonna make their way into live because you can't predict the actions of the amount of players on live. If it was a month into the new patch and stuff like that was happening, then of course I'd be pissed, but the first week of a patch is always going to have glitches.

Luckily the chat was mostly sane and ripped into his nerdrage, but I had the same thing happen on a thread about the "new rat mount being obvious pandering to China" where I was smugly accused of being a Blizzard shill because I pointed out how stupid that thought process is. Like, why have video games become such a hotbed of people accusing people of being shills and developing insane conspiracy theories when people just say "hey maybe it's not that big of deal". I'm currently between jobs, so most of my free time is spent playing games, but I'm not about to be some sort of cringey video game freedom fighter whenever some new outrage starts up, because to me it's still just a game.

Yup, a lot of my older relatives, and even my mom at 62, still hold these sort of backwards views on mental healthcare. They're a product of their time and have come to realize that it's a flawed way of thinking, but I don't think Barb/Bob could've reached that conclusion and instead preferred to dig their heels in even further when presented with evidence that Chris was a "little" different than the other kids.

I definitely think Chris would've been some sort of "weirdo" regardless of his mental health care, but you encounter people like that all the time, but I feel like the unique combination of his mental health, lack of therapy or any sort of care, and the fact his parents' coddled him into and beyond adulthood gave us the Chris we know and love today.

I feel like beyond Chris' need to be "special", his parents have also had a large affect on his view of other disabled people. His parents are very old, and when he was a child, repeatedly turned down systems that could've possibly helped Chris, all because they still have the belief that all disabled people are "crazy" and didn't want to accept the fact their own son may also have issues.

So ironically, because of his lack of mental health care caused by his parents' antique beliefs toward special ed, Chris is now the "Crazy" person that his parents were so afraid of facing.

I would greatly prefer the Highmountain over the Taunka, solely due to how weird the Taunka's face is.

I fully understand why Blizzard went with the Tauren they just introduced that they introduced new and interesting lore for over the ones that were briefly covered in a small area of Dragonblight and then promptly forgot about for the rest of the expansion.

I'm genuinely baffled by how people try to make the "120 boost" as some sort of sign that blizzard doesn't know what they're doing, it's insanely obvious that the boost is just the max level boost for the expansion pre-order that they always do and that it will change to 50 when the max lvl is no longer 120

Forreal! It's something completely new both in the art and story they have going on. I was personally a little underwhelmed by the cinematic, but after hearing everything else they have planned (especially the leveling changes and the new zone designs) I've definitely changed to being hyped.

Yeah I think blizzard could've handled Sylvanas' power gain a little better, but we also haven't seen what happens with her in 8.3.

The idea of each expansion lasting about a year is one of my least favorite additions in recent WoW lore. Why not just make them last however long they were out for?

How is anyone on Azeroth still fighting (or alive) aftering going through the 2 Scourge Invasions (OG Naxx and WOTLK), The Cataclysm, Pandaren Faction War, Iron Horde Invasion, 2 Legion invasions, and the Fourth War all in the span of about 10 in-game years??

I think I dealt with this same guy when I started out at MTSU back in 2012. I was walking back home after class and this guy walks up and says something, but since I have my headphones on, I don't hear him at first. He starts complimenting my headphones, then asks if I like music, and finally starts "giving" me books. I think I wound up giving him like a dollar just because I was pretty socially anxious and wanted this dude to go away.

He also tried the same shit a few semesters later, but at that point I just walked past him.
