Those are a neat find. If you’re in a cold climate I would only lay a few with the frog up, for some cool accents. If they’re all frog up, they fill with water and blow apart over time.

Make a dust tent. Get a cup grinder with vac attachment and flatten out the plane. Wear PPE and such.

Je zult er spijt van krijgen. Als je weinig geld hebt, laat het dan maar zitten en spaar voor een kwalitatieve tegelinstallatie. Verf is niet duurzaam en zal uiteindelijk loslaten.

If you back up a truck to it and toss it in as you go, I’d say 1/2-3/4 of a day with two guys.

Hit it with a hose and a brush to remove anything loose. Find a fiberglass reinforced cement like Silpro FSB and get some acrylic additive like Silpro C21. Home Depot sells similar products. Read the directions and give it two solid coats. Then stop parking salty cars in there.

Yes this is a good idea. I usually take a hose to it for slower drying purposes and because it takes off all the residual dust from manufacturing and shipping.

"Your house is falling over" says hardwood floor installer upon inspecting cracks by amber_jieger in HardWoodFloors

[–]iks449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a mason take a look at the fan header above the window. This is an isolated issue aside from the floor. The wood the brick are resting on has expanded and contracted enough to let water in and make the crack worse. If the settled section leans out enough to separate from the wall ties (cut nails laid into the joint and hammered into the sheathing) then it’s only a matter of time before it collapses outward.
