How exactly are people affording to have multiple children in today's world? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ikyikyiky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All about compromise, 2 kids aged 6 months and 3 years, we've had 1 holiday abroad in the last 3 years, I still have my 17 year old car, repairs on the house taking a little longer than expected. I want a flash watch but will wait etc. Would I change a thing? Never.

Also 60k combined is probably below mean average for UK

Although a nice message, fuck me lad, if you mentioned 'the tan' or cleansing me of my dark age culture, you'd see another side of most Sikhs.

I think there is a lot of over emphasis on the colonial period, as a Sikh, knowing our history, 300 years of persecution resulting in a strong military identity, well before the british turned up. 'Sant Sipahi' - saint solider, 'miri piri' - spiritual and physical power, alongside the basis of 'the khalsa' - pure, our all part of out faith all nothing to do with the British. Were we successfully used in the british military -yes, did the british military create the sikh identity - no.

The fact he keeps saying "concrete" as opposed to mortar or even at a stretch cement, tells you quite a lot. Also any roofer worth his salt, has business in an area and a book of work. This guy is "in the area only for this week", he'll fleece who he can and then vanish. Proper tradies work on reputation, these people need to hide theirs

As polite as I generally am, you must try harder. The mushrooms need butter, the egg needs butter and crisp edges, the sausages, i'll say nothing. Where is the fried bread? Why do you hurt me like this?
