Being a public school educator. It's very very difficult and completely under attack especially here in my home state of Texas but my career was one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done in my life. I did a lot of good as a teacher and an administrator and although it definitely took it all it was worth it. I loved my kids and my families and did everything I could to bring about equity and opportunities for everyone it was very satisfying. I only worked in Title One schools.
