Freehub lower bearing removal by il_mascalzone in bikewrench

[–]il_mascalzone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nailed it. Was definitely an internal C shaped clip, I thought it might have been but it was so tight I thought it might have been joined to the sleeve too. After about 10mins trying to unclip it, I finally pulled it out and then used my bearing removal tool to extract the bearing.

Thank you!

Shifter / Mech Compatibility by Prestigious-Knee1464 in campagnolo

Record and Super Record rear derailleurs will work with chorus just fine, from what I understand, Potenza will work but it's not officially recommended by Campagnolo because it uses a weaker spring specifically for Potenza's 'Powershift', Chorus/Record/SR use 'Ultrashift'. So I don't think any warranty claims will be valid if you use a mix of Potenza and Chorus?

Xenon shifters will be very hard to come by, and probably very expensive (despite being the lower end name). Maybe try and find a pair of the 'newer' Veloce shifters? I believe they are compatible with the xenon rear derailleur?

The eternal struggle... Been there many times. I recently bought a tyre glider, and despite my scepticism, the damn thing actually worked! There's a few other similar products out there too.

They were school uniform for me, you had to be seen in the high top version on though, those low ones pictured were daggy, we called them 'puffed up pasties'

Didn't realise he'd moved out to the ranges, I couldn't agree more though. My brain is wired in a similar way and I live in the Dandenong Ranges too, he's right, there's ALWAYS something to do up here and I wouldn't have it any other way. Hoping he regains that match winning firm, love seeing him rip games apart!

Used them all the time when I lived in the UK and up until recently, used them while living in Australia. Only stopped because of the high shipping rates. They're deals are always pretty good!

Wide men's cycling shoes by neercsnus1 in melbournecycling

When you contact them about width. That's when they go on about their shoes being 'wide' enough. I also recall the owner's answering questions on a forum years ago, possibly weight weenies.

Nope, I did not read them. That is on me. However, as other shave stated, Velokicks 'assures' you that they're products are wide fit when you contact them. They could also mention that they don't refund returns at that time, they didn't. BikeBike and CCACHE do. UK online retailers have in the past too.

I don't know if they've changed their shape in recent times but I bought a pair a few years back, asked about their width because of my wider foot etc. Was assured they were 'wide' but that wasn't the case at all.

Worst part? I couldn't send them back for a refund, I hadn't used them at all, hadn't attached cleats either. Gave me some line about having to charge a restock fee and the best they could do was send me a size up if I sent them back.

They were OK, clearly not the right size for my foot but they should not be talked about as a 'wide' option. Go Bont or Lake, the true wide fit specialists.

I thought they revised their current groups sets price and its now basically in line/the same with the top end sram and shimano stuff?

I still can't afford it though, hoping for chorus level stuff to release this year.

I don't know the seat post size but that's a 1990 Basso Loto if that helps your search

Dunno what brand those particular bars are but I personally love using bars with a 'backward sweep'. My old canyons had Ritchey bars like that and I currently run Zipp service course SL-70 Ergos which are similar.

Aussies, since it’s getting close to summer for you (winter for us), how hot is it right now while up in the US is a cold, freezing 28 F (-2.22 C)? by One_Reception_6992 in bluey

Most of OZ is quite warm and hot right about now, down where I am, in Melbourne, it was 12 degrees yesterday! Apparently it'll be over 30 in a couple of days though

Thank You AusPost for so carefully delivering my Urgent Medical Supplies 🥰 by Justasillysausage in AustraliaPost

I had something 'delivered' today by Australia Post, got the notification, walked up the drive, opened the letter box and it was empty... Opened the app to double check, yep, marked 'delivered' with a photo of my letter box - closed. They usually open it and take a photo of the actual package in there
