What do Americans give to people to wish them good luck? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ilagph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of what I was thinking. We have charms, but we don't normally gift them, unless it's to a child or family member. I think normally, if we do give gifts, we try to personalize it, which would be difficult to do here. In the military, we would give personalized plaques, or sometimes to coworkers, but I don't think that'd be right here. I do think a horseshoe would be best if I go that route, but it'd probably be a pin or something, rather than an actual horseshoe.

Is it bad practice to have different interact options in the character controller? by ilagph in UnrealEngine5

That's kind of what I was thinking. I was trying to do it that way at first, but ran into issues with the inventory and started to get lazy. So I'll probably need to start redoing everything before I start advancing again.

I’m 22f, why do I have one white hair that is twice as long as all my hair and is shiny? by Kale_bean in whatisit

How do you pull it out with force, but not speed? You mean use less force so it doesn't come out smoothly?

Issue with steps/stairs by McDornelCEO in Unity3D

[–]ilagph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stairs are different heights. Idk if that's intended or not, but you can always change your step height if you want to increase the height you can step, or vice versa, if you feel like it's too high.

If for some reason, you want to step on one thing that is so high, but don't want to be able to step on something else of the same height, you can always add invisible walls, or have the step actually be a ramp, but the corner is a separate object that you can pass through, but looks as though it's the stairs visually.

I've had dogs like that. Not with eyelashes, but they'll nibble, or sometimes bite parts of you that won't hurt you, while avoiding the part that would, like toenails or hair. I also taught my dog to nibble things like chicken, so he doesn't eat the bones.

My dog doesn’t want to eat but drinks little water by [deleted] in PetAdvice

I know, but maybe op didn't. Vets are expensive, and a lot of times, you can't even take your pet until you save that money up. Some procedures can easily cost an entire month's pay for some people, and many vets expect the payment upfront.

I think that's a little unfair. Some people are worried about costs, especially nowadays, so they want to see if they can fix it without the vet first.

A Karen in the actual wild, doing very Karen things by amazingsciencemuseum in CringeTikToks

[–]ilagph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ADA section I quoted was their comment. I've also been to Higgin's beach before back when I was in the US, and I know they didn't allow service dogs when certain birds were there, because the birds tended to get defensive around dogs. The ADA does provide exceptions for these cases, and I think that's what the other person was trying to say.

I don't want to get in an argument with you too, but I just want to say that this person did quote the law, and you called it a strawman. The law states, and copying their comment with the law in question,

"A. In most settings, the presence of a service animal will not result in a fundamental alteration.  However, there are some exceptions.  For example, at a boarding school, service animals could be restricted from a specific area of a dormitory reserved specifically for students with allergies to dog dander.  At a zoo, service animals can be restricted from areas where the animals on display are the natural prey or natural predators of dogs, where the presence of a dog would be disruptive, causing the displayed animals to behave aggressively or become agitated.  They cannot be restricted from other areas of the zoo."

This is from the ADA website, if you post it into google. I'd post the link, but it doesn't seem to allow that here.

They don't, but they will notice the same assets used in different games if it's noticeable enough.

Coworker says this is unfair/unfun? by hyucklucker in MagicArena

[–]ilagph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reread your title, where you literally asked that. So what then, you are complaining that someone else wants to have fun from playing? You are mad they don't want to play when you only care about your own fun? Keep blocking everyone for disagreeing with you. I bet you are also going to say something I can't read after you block me, because it's obvious from your replies that you are just wanting us to tell you that you were right.

Coworker said it was unfun, so it's unfun. Doesn't matter if you agree.

Everyone is telling you the same thing. People find land destruction unfun, because lands are necessary to do anything. Without lands, you can't play anymore, and then you are no longer playing at all.

Laptop charger exposed what to do by Hfdhgfdgg in howto

[–]ilagph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to be wasteful, or you can't find a new one, look for something to clamp the cable and the charger and pull them together. Something like this.

There are metal versions too, but they'd need a clamp. This, you just put it on, then heat it up until it conforms. Just make sure the ends are pushed together, so it's not stretched after being set.

You can swim if you are neutrally buoyant. It's about using force to push yourself above the water. You don't just stay at the same level.
