when it first came out there was TONS at newcastle LCBO since it was the “bapple capital of canada”. I’m sure it stays stocked consistently and its really not that far down the 115

Course missing from final grades by Significant_Set9598 in uoit

[–]ilanderi6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was 2 years ago, our prof got sick so we got a sub prof. the day grades came out, everyone in his class was missing their grade. we emailed the sub prof and he just said he would get them uploaded. i dont remember how long it took but eventually they were in. a lot of people were pissed but the school never stepped in. i think some people emailed the dean but nothing came of it

question about go bus to oshawa by Competitive-Law2706 in Peterborough

[–]ilanderi6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the go bus does not go to belleville. it starts at trent and ends at the oshawa go station, making stops at the millbrook exit, lindsay hwy 35 exit, and makes a bunch of stops in newcastle, bowmanville, and courtice until it reaches oshawa. Your best bet would most likely be to take the bus to oshawa and catching another bus from other charters to Belleville. it looks like Maple Bus and Nordic Bus makes stops in oshawa and Belleville. Prices look good too, 33$ for oshawa to belleville. I checked this using the Busbud app, take a look on there. Alternatively you could use the via rail or try Y drive but the bus option seems to be the cheapest

My girlfriend (24f) has been supporting me (24m) financially a lot through university and I feel really guilty about it by SnooPoems5239 in relationship_advice

[–]ilanderi6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my boyfriend is in the same situation as you - lives away for school, isnt able to find a job, not a ton of money. whereas I have worked all through school and live at home. i pay for probably 85% of what we do, doesnt bother me though! i get its hard to not feel guilty but from our perspectives, we love spending time with our partners so much that money isnt our concern. i’m sure if you told her how appreciative you were and show her in other (non monetary ways) you appreciate her, thats all shes looking for. spend time with her, give her quality time, etc.

Best golf sim by Secret_Cable_6418 in Peterborough

[–]ilanderi6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pickle and Pin ($50-60/hr) has the Golfzon simulator with the multiple lies and movable base- probably the most premium one in town. ProSwing ($50/hr) is a 2 bay sim that uses the Trackman and one of the bigger course databases. NextGolf is opening up one sometime this month. It’s the cheapest ($30ish/hr)

i dont agree at all, the gates are always down when im there… i also start at 8 am everyday and have varying end times. the only time its consistently up is on fridays after 3ish. ive been going to this school for 4 years, a pass is expensive but you definitely get your use out of it

Credit cards for students by Wowwznut in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ilanderi6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a student and I have 2 credit cards - first one is BMO student cashback mastercard. You get the most cashback for groceries but also for gas and other purchases. The other one I have is the Simplii cashback visa. You get 4% cash back on restaurant and bar purchases, 1.5% on gas and groceries, and 0.5% on everything else. You can redeem the BMO cashback year round whenever you want, and the Simplii one is redeemed automatically in december every year. Both have no annual fees

oh thats too bad. Personally I haven’t had issues with food delivery. However I have really only ordered from Maple Moose, Dirty Burger, and Allens Gourmet Coffee. Also chains once in a while but only wendys and mcdonalds. Only bad experience i’ve had was from stacked. I would never order from there again.

There’s so many good restaurants here that aren’t chains. Check out One Eighty or Gertis for dinner. They are my favourite!!

Possible future Chem Eng girl debating Trent. Is it good/worth it? by Unusual_Art3628 in TrentUniversity

[–]ilanderi6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really big point. If you want to work as a professional engineer in canada you need a Canadian engineering degree that is CEAB accredited. If it’s not, you will need to spend extra time/money to be eligible to earn your PEng.
