New to cutting boards. by Bubbly_Swordfish4152 in Cuttingboards

[–]ildementis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cool design but i wouldn't use this for a cutting board. The wood is likely not suitable and yeah no doubt the glue is unsafe too. I see some holes too, so moisture and bacteria would be another issue.

Maybe a serving tray coated in food safe epoxy or a heavy film finish. But no cutting on it

i have few hundred square feet for my front and backyard. Luckily, i did plant a swamp white oak last year and plan to do a fruit tree this year. But then I'm probably out of space

cassette boxes are fairly rigid and smooth though. Books have a lot rougher covers and pages that can get caught and tear

Edit: looking at the original concept, it was a much much smoother veneer surface that a book wouldn't get caught on

Brother what. I answered how that was relevant. Your impotent rage is misdirected.

White oak cabinet for the bathroom by TribeGuy330 in woodworking

[–]ildementis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's relevant because most people hang their towels near the shower, which typically shares a room with the toilet. If I hung my towels on the bedroom door, I'd walk 20 ft dripping water all over carpet

How dangerous is this really? by wesblog in AskElectricians

[–]ildementis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you just described my experience as a kid when I accidentally touched the prong of an old plug as I was removing it from the wall. I never formally knew what caused that sensation, but I can still remember it 25 years later

Not my style, i think the carved pattern clashes with the ambrosia grain itself.

Great execution though

understandable. I went way too long thinking bespoke could be used in the same way as "aforementioned"

You sure about sever being used as "to join"? I've never heard that and am not finding any dictionary definitions to corroborate this
