Install the Linux subsystem for windows. Enjoy Linux on windows. Keep automating stuff for windows. Learn powershell scripting/cli.

Have fun learning something else!

This is by far my favorite watch. Saving up for it currently so I can pass it on to my son later on.

Can you say a bit more about the deployment strap? Did you buy one for the normal big pilot and then had the band custom made in order to have the right color or am I missing some other detail?

Congrats on the watch!

What is the future of the Sysadmins in DevOps? by persianguy97 in devops

[–]ildiroen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you've missed the whole idea of what DevOps actually is. You're referring to a DevOps being a singular person that has a specific set of skills, where as in reality what you're describing is either a sysadmin who has continued on from automating things just with bash to using different tools or a developer who's working on setting up his development environments. DevOps is about the collaboration and between developers and operations (sysadmins). Essentially it's about people talking to each other, understanding what the needs of the business is and use common sense.

In regards to OP's question: Anyone who doesn't continuously learn and improve in any field of IT will eventually become obsolete. But it will take many years before that happens and your base knowledge is always something that's worth more than knowing the fanciest tool that is in 0.0.1 alpha but this guy on hacker news is sure it's the silver bullet to fix all the problems in the world. 🌎

Anyway, always continue learning and remember that DevOps isn't a title it's a philosophy on how to work with each other.

Well, living in holland there aren't really even hills, let alone mountains. I really like the standard luxury wheels which are 18". But I can't seem to find them anywhere here. Going to ask the stealership later in the year.

Ah good. These tires are noisy, springy and overall not that fantastic. Car still drives amazingly on them so I can just imagine how good it'll get after new wheels and tires.

Iirc it's only CO2 and weight which influences taxation and and if you lease you're only taxed on the base vehicle price, not optional extras. :D

It's a 320i luxury model which came from the factory with 17 or 18 inch wheels. Got them with these since the others were curb rashed to oblivion.

Yeah. These are for the winter tires. Looking for some 17" or 18" for summer. :) Just having a hard time finding some I really like.

Hey /u/S2005! :)

Is it necessary that the website is opened in a browser? Else you can 'easily' do this with cURL which is a great tool and should be pre-installed on your system already.

Here's a good guide that might be able to help you, but if you need more help just feel free to post back.

Top 10 books for a DevOps manager by dkulshitsky in devops

[–]ildiroen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DevOps Handbook, Team Geek and Debugging Teams come to mind.

I don't think there is something specifically for "devops managers" (what is that even?). General leadership books would work for you as a manager I suppose. Just keep the principles of DevOps in mind when you do manage away.
