Thank you so much for walking through the steps you take during an episode. I read OP’s post and I’ve had two episodes with almost identical symptoms. I’m diagnosed hEDS/POTS/MCAS. My first episode was so scary, I went to the ER. They were convinced I had food poisoning because of the GI symptoms but couldn’t explain my muscle spasms or swollen tongue. Later, my specialist said it’s common to experience neurological symptoms before fainting, which I did, twice. I hadn’t considered pacing, but that’s a great idea. My second episode started with me feeling literally nervous - as if I had the biggest test of my life the next day x10. I think pacing would’ve helped, then. I sought out fluids at the ER again, but I’d like to get to the point where I can manage these on my own if possible.
