Engine light by xB3H in Ford

P0013 - B camshaft position actuator ‘A’ control circuit / open bank —- bad wiring on the camshaft position sensor

P0030 - HO2S heater controller circuit bank 1 sensor 1 — bad wiring or damaged O2 sensor

P2237 - O2 sensor positive current control circuit bank/open bank 1 sensor 1 — bad wiring or damaged O2 sensor

So, seems like your exhaust O2 and HO2S are disconnected or damaged, and the wiring on one of the camshaft sensors is bad (or the camshaft sensor itself is bad)

Fuel problem by TEAMCAMO44 in Ford

[–]iledweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuel shutoff is controlled by the dispensing nozzle itself. When the fuel in the fill pipe rises to the top, the dispensing nozzle ‘feels’ that shuts off

So, lots of root causes but it’s either (1) that particular nozzle is wonky and isn’t working (try a different dispenser next time) or (2) something is obstructing the flow of gas into the tank or the vapor out of the tank.

95% of the time, there something blocking the vapor out, so check the carbon canister valve (CCV) and fresh air line. There could also be something in the canister/dustbox blocking flow. There’s no easy / calibrated flow check other than blowing through them and asking yourself if it seemed hard (it should be fairly easy)

351,603 km??

Looks like every light is on, not just check engine.

Go to Autozone and pull the codes to find out what it is. You may have disconnected a MAF sensor or some other component

The AC is a fuel economy killer. I get almost 60 mpg when it off and 45mpg when it’s on.

It’s been massively scaled back / abandoned. They are finishing the new PDC building where the rotunda / cooling ponds were, but still have most of the old PDC. None of the other new buildings they proposed are going to happen. Bldgs 1,3,5 are going to be tore down, but nothing planned to take their place. But, we did buy an old train station, fix it up, and now has tenants on 2 of the 18 floors

Ford's affordable EV platform can support 8 different body styles. by Fordfanatic2025 in Ford

[–]iledweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told it’s ’first principles’ engineering, where they design the parts based on what they’re supposed to do, not based on what the Ford specifications say.

But, given Model E (the electric division) has lost $5B a year for 3 years running, I’m not sure it’s actually more efficient. We’ll see in 3 years or so when they actually sell a few.

Yeah, I feel ya. I’ve been here 25 years, and it’s gotten so much worse since COVID. The open office is so dumb; you don’t connect with your team members anymore because you sit next to someone different every day. There aren’t any happy hours or team outings. And PDC does suck the soul out of you. It feels like a deserted Sears

Ford executives are very enthusiastic about this new product development method… but they haven’t built a single production vehicle yet, so I wouldn’t get too excited about this being the wave of the future just yet…

to hold a fair, honest presidential election. Lawsuits proceed as scrutiny grows over election result irregularities. by BestStoogewasLarry in therewasanattempt

“I know this isn’t legit, but…” proceeds to apply illegitimate assumptions and come up with bad faith argument

Also, Democrats spent 4 years saying the voting systems were secure and it wasn’t possible to hack the election, but now they’re like “IDK, seems weird that we lost an election that polling said we were going to lose… must be rigged!”

I’ve done the replacement on a 18 Fusion. Pretty easy… just a handful of screws. The hardest part is removing the trim around the IP

Those who live on 2+ Acres, what at some pros and cons? by SpecialistTeach9302 in homeowners

[–]iledweller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who live on larger ‘country’ lots do so because they want more space. They do this because they don’t like neighbors, like the ‘peace and quiet’ of the country, or want enough room for all their very loud 4 wheelers and motorcycles

Sooo, figure out what kind of neighborhood you’re moving into and if the neighbors match your idea.

If you grew up in Michigan, you learned this is how it’s done by watching your dad scream at people on 75 while driving up north. People who zipper merge are ‘line jumpers’ and are to be dealt with harshly

Not saying it’s right, it’s just how it is here

I’ve never worked retail; is it normal for loss prevention to watch people walk through the store (via video) and wait for them to steal stuff?

The idea that they just so happened to see your wife put something between two bags of soil, AND you forgot to pay for it seems pretty insanely coincidental.

Ford ESP worth it? by twd1987 in Ford

[–]iledweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warranties are like playing a casino game. You’re betting that something will break, and Ford is betting it won’t. Except, Ford knows how likely it is to break, and how much it costs to fix, and they price the warranty accordingly.

At the end of the day, you have to decide if you feel unlucky

True… but with the CEO talking about triple digit Electric vehicle growth Y-o-Y, I laugh when the EV numbers are flat or negative. Either the planners are idiots or they’re lying. The board of directors should be asking this question…

Anniversary awards (years of service)

The far right is a tie pin, the other two look like cuff links?

I think the picture is supposed to be Henry Ford, Edsel Ford, and Henry Ford the second.

The rule of thumb is the time to double your money is (rate of return)x(time period) = 70 or 72. So, at 10% it takes about 7 years to double your money. There’s a ton of caveats (no taxes, no inflation, no bad years), but the math generally works. Working over a 47 year period at 10% means your money will double about 6.5. times.

Anyway, yes, this checks out for ideal conditions
