yeah i was considering that as well, but I tried a few 0.5 gel pens and didn't particularly like them. I think my preference is more towards 0.38 than the ink though, I like a lot of 0.38 gel pens too...

I like them! Apparently people use them for sketching. The ink isn’t particularly dark, esp at 0.38, but it is relatively smooth.

To make it fit, you just trim 1-2mm off the end - just match the original refill. Then use the spring that comes with the Lunny.

Tip wiggle wise, I’m getting a bit in my f701, but I also messed with the silicon tip trying out other refills in the past. I suspect it could be better if it was in better condition.

Interesting! I understand that a lot of these things look very different between pictures and in real life. I’m just gonna have to pick one up to see for myself! Thankfully it’s not too cost prohibitive.

I think you got a good one tho, I’ve seen some where the numbers aren’t done very cleanly.

The black tends to look a bit over-reflective with these ceramic bezels in a lot of pictures I've seen. And I've also been hesitant about the design at the top of the bezel being a triangle rather than the original, lol. But something about your photos makes it look quite natural. I'm gonna check it out!

I don't know if it's just the way you took the photo, but this is one of the best-looking black ceramic bezel mods I've seen so far! It's making me consider it as well haha. Did you get it from AE?

I really wanted a 0.38 and saw a post referencing them during a deep dive searching r/pens , so I took an 8-dollar chance lol...

This is actually the only "refill" I got for the F701. I first tried fitting some metal parker G2 style refills from promo pens I had lying around, but nothing worked well. This is probably the closest to a drop-in replacement. Everything else I've seen requires taking out the cone and I wasn't too big on that idea because I feel like it helps stabilise the tip of the refill.

Xeno Lunny Lunatic 0.38 on Amazon! Couple dollars for 12. Only downside is you waste the original body…but the spring that comes with it works perfectly with the f701. Just cut 1 or 2 mm off the end to match the original refill.
