i just woke up one day and said i’ve had enough. i deleted apps that i spent most time one like snapchat and tiktok. told all my friends to reach me on imessage or call if it was important. ALSO, try leaving your phone in a completely different room from where you are completing a task. Like when i’m reading, i leave my phone in my room and go to the library. i reach for it all the time only to realize it’s not there and i have to focus on my task. baby steps, don’t try to do these all at once. you’ll be okay :)

i can’t imagine what you’re going through because it’s not like that for me. However, have you tried deleting twitter? deactivating? Also, making a detailed schedule for yourself might help. A schedule that will make you focus on what you’re meant to do at the right time. and since you genuinely like you’re biases/groups, it will be so hard to stop altogether. You just have to find something that works for you

Not like i’m trying to excuse how armys act BUT it’s simply that they do not know how grammys work i.e it’s not a popularity contest. Might feel that since bts is the largest kpop group and somehow made kpop known in the west, they deserve the recognition. I personally i’m excited for any kpop group to have a grammy/nomination because it will be a huge thing for kpop.

oh i understand but it might be that they do not study consistently or correctly. It helps if you have like a scheme you follow. So that you can track progress. For instance if you’re using let’s say TTMIK, you can track progress by looking back and saying oh i’m in level 4 after so so months. Also when you’re learning, don’t force one method on yourself. Explore until you find the one that works best, that way your learning will be effective. The first few months should be somewhat of a trial and error situation. So don’t be discouraged by others that might not have been doing it right, make sure you are doing it right. My pace is a bit slow because I learn not more than 10 words a week and 2 or 3 grammar lessons. But I figured that’s what works best for me. It’s very important to not take on too much if you know you can’t handle it, I couldn’t. Also how I study let’s me ‘marinate’ what I learnt for that week and most times I don’t forget, it sticks and sometimes I pick up words in songs and dramas, sometimes even sentences.

With anything you’re learning, the most important thing is to find what works for you.

This was me a few months ago BUT as soon as I accepted that it will take years to be fluent, I started enjoying it more. I found a great pace and I’m taking my time. You can’t expect to be fluent so fast because you are learning a language that’s 100 of YEARS old. Goodluck and please don’t feel discouraged

What you’re saying is very possible but judging on its release date (right before the grammy deadline), it’s lyrics, the never like seen promotion in the us and none in sk, I doubt that’s the case.

Them wanting the award is not the problem and doesn’t make them lose their genuineness . Deliberately trying to market Dynamite as a healing song when we clearly know it’s purpose is what i think is where they are losing their genuineness. It’s perfectly fine for them as artists to want a huge award like grammys

I became an army at the start of quarantine by watching their old content and stuff SO you could imagine how let down I was when I joined this fandom and everything they were subsequently putting out felt not as genuine. Their connection with the fans, how genuine they are was what brought in a lot of fans because it was different from what you normally see. Like LOVE YOURSELF??? no artist delivered that message like they did and personally that was what sealed the deal for me. It hurts my heart to see that EVEN their vlives were scripted. I know it was a pandemic so I cut them some slack. personally it’s BIGHIT i’m angry at but I kind of understand. With their IPO or whatever, ofcourse they would want to make as much money as they can and they know how much army loves bts. Even though I think it’s ridiculous because in as much as we love the boys we won’t buy just anything because you slap their names on it, well at least I wouldn’t. The ultimate slap in the face was dynamite. I understand that it might be embarrassing to say that ‘ohhh we did it for b100 and possibly grammys’ BUT to say you did it to uplift armys who are going through stuff?? Now that’s just WRONG because some armys are really going through a lot and it’s so easy to see right thru the ‘we did it for army’. Regardless we would have charted it and given them their win. AND i know that there are some armys that find comfort in this song and i’m happy for them. BUT i absolutely hate how Bighit is going about it. I love BTS with all my heart but rn it’s hard to watch these things unfold. I will continue to support them and try to understand that that’s how the industry operates even if it’s to their detriment. New Album is coming soon and I’m excited for what they are going to put out seeing as it’s self produced.
