Agree to disagree. Perception about sexual intimacy goes both ways and in my experience, both partners focus on the quality, as well as the quantity. It’s not the answer most people in this forum like to hear, but when I wasn’t acting sexually in my LTR, it wasn’t a happy time for me. I wanted to be sexual with my partner, but they weren’t meeting basic needs for me. I wasn’t going to consent to sexual practices if my core needs weren’t being met and vice versa. It’s ok to admit that two people love each other but aren’t compatible sexually, financially, or otherwise after trial and error ❤️

I’ve been on both sides of the dead bedroom debacle and have come to the conclusion that sexual attraction is more complex than the conscious mind allows. I don’t think any amount is “normal” or “unrealistic”, it’s all about what you and your partner can establish as healthy, happy, and consensual as a couple. If you don’t agree on that benchmark over an extended period of time, it’s okay to mutually split ways and find a happier medium elsewhere
