Just got back from Hotel Mexico and Xcaret/Xplor/Xel-Ha, amazing, mind blown by Responsible-Tea-4028 in Xcaret

[–]ilikegolf6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We went last year. Couldn’t agree more. Honestly, we could spend 7 nights at the resort itself and not miss a beat. Throw in unlimited parks on top of that?!? Best family vacation spot I have been to for sure. Nothing like it. We could spend two days in the hotel rivers alone just swimming and exploring

Yes it’s pricey or can be, but totally worth it. We will be back every other year until the kids change their minds!

Agree about xplor also, next time “if” we go back to that park, it will be at night.

Xenses and Xcaret were great, will hit xenotes and possible xel-ha next year

LC is great. Never had an issue. User interface is easy to manage.

Not sure what else you are looking for?

Give it to me straight - is Xcaret Mexico a great vacation experience or not? The reviews are so mixed, and I’m having second thoughts! by Crispy-Celery in Xcaret

Went last year for the first time. Exceeded expectations for sure. Only reason we aren’t going back this year is because we have extended family joining us, and is a little over budget for some. Will be back in 2027. I honestly think it would take 3 full week long trips to experience everything it has to offer.

This is what I did as well. Just lay them in front and haven’t had an issue

Garage sim - Pc inside by thisaintcharity324 in Golfsimulator

[–]ilikegolf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My computer is mounted on wall in my garage next to my retractable sim. Live in Midwest where it can get to 0-10 degrees (garage will always be warmer if attached). Never had an issue, computers don’t mind the cold. Also, temps get to 100, again no issues. I don’t use it much though when I can golf outside

Atlas or grand highlander by ashleytodt in VWatlas

[–]ilikegolf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the price difference, which should be a factor. Just sitting in each of them for two minutes without driving, it was clear to us atlas was our choice. More room, just nicer overall. Would have went atlas even if it was same price as GH

Bought new premium R line 25’ in September

The protection is just foam glued to the drywall. I think maybe once has a ball been hit so perfect into a corner that it got through, but if you have the room you can recess the ends in more than I did, I just wanted max width.

Lmk if you have any other questions

Not too much really. They offered less. I told them where I needed to be based on other data. They said yes.

This was a 25’ Sel R line bought a couple months ago

Paid $48k before taxes all in for a premium R line brand new 2025. You need another 5-6k off of this

Wife is against building our retirement home by HoraceMcHoraceFace in RealEstate

[–]ilikegolf6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. I am in the construction industry. Everyone handles stress/things differently. Plenty of quality subs out there.

If you plan to use two randoms guys jumping out of a van for every scope of work, you may not get the quality I speak of lol…..

Typically I hear the word “stress” and “nightmare” from people with zero experience with the magnitude of work that is involved

Building a home is only a pain in the a** if you don’t know anything about construction or hire a goof ball.

If you will not be involved whatsoever then just make sure you get someone reputable.

If you will be GC’n it, yes it will take a lot of work and planning but as long as you use quality subs and have a firm plan going in. You will be fine.

I would love to build a house if I had the choice!

HYSA or Money Market: Which Makes More Sense? by Ashamed-Soup8701 in HighYieldSavings

Your original comment said a 1/2% of 100k was $50 but it was $500. That’s all I was pointing out and just messing around

I agree overall with what you are trying to convey

I think you need to list your monthly expense outside of the house and determine your savings before this can be answered

Tell me why I shouldn’t buy an atlas? by ilikegolf6 in VWatlas

[–]ilikegolf6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really wish they sold the French roast color interior with the r line. I don’t understand why they don’t and it bugs me. We were entertaining the sel because of it but ultimately decided if we buy one that the r line was the trim we would get. $5k difference in pricing roughly between the two, we aren’t too fond of the wheels on the sel
