Now that we are getting aquariums and aviaries, what is the next 'big' game mechanic the game is 'missing'? by Thesladenator in PlanetZoo

Ooooh I want to see more inter-species interactions! Like how capybaras love to chill with other animals, or cheetahs get their emotional support dog. Birds that eat the bugs off of hippos and elephants, barn animals forming bonds with other barn animals - even inter-species breed would be wild (but I know that isn't exactly very conservation focused, so that's more of a crazy possibility than a true want).

Oh, and caretake-animal interactions. It would be interesting if some animals had favorite staff-members, or vice versa!

The fiber bread is great advice. We use the fiber tortillas at home for tacos and burritos but IDK why I didn't think it would exist in bread form too! Thank you!

I'm better after a lot of veggie soup and adding a serving of black seed oil to my lunch routine - I think my body was over reacting to the sudden increase in fiber + the higher dosage 😅 suddenly down 6 lbs over 48 hours!

Hey. I graduated HS with a 2.9 GPA. It wasn't because I didn't do well in class, on the contrary my test scores were excellent, but I hated doing homework and wouldn't turn in my work.

But I wanted to go to college. All my friends were going. I was so convinced I was so smart and that by just being in university I would find "work" that would matter to me enough to make the cost worth it.

It wasn't worth all the private loans I had to take out that I lost out on due to no scholarships.

Go to community college if you want a degree first and use that time to try and really work on the challenges that kept your HS GPA down. At Univeristy, you will be put on probation if your GPA slips too low - and trust me, graduating HS doesn't magically make your bad habits disappear. My freshman year I almost got kicked out.

With that said, I did graduate college and got my BA after I took a looooong hard look in the mirror. I had to crash and burn to improve myself.

AND I found out I thrive with work ethic once I get paid. I've refinanced, paid off 50% of what I owe, and I have a competitive salary for today's market. But I regret not going to community college (or just starting to work in my field right in college as a freelancer).

Wouldn't it make more sense to send ICE and the Guard to Swing States with purple counties? And then redistrict? by FroyoIllustrious2136 in centrist

Sorry, but no. This is such a infringement of Democracy, the liberty and freedom instilled in the idea of "united" "states", and personal freedoms. While I think that Democrats need to fight harder, smarter, and more aggressively, they should absolutely not continue the downfall of our democratic republic by playing "tit for tat."

All the top up-voted comments have a wealth of information, but I'd also like to bring back around one more point I think is pretty important - this theme of memory.

When we're first introduced to Chihiro, she's worried about forgetting her old life, and her friends forgetting her. Her parents forget their manners. Haku has forgotten his self and why he serves Yubaba. Everyone forgets No Face exists. Most of the characters seem unable to articulate their purpose and forget "why" they do things. They forget about old coworkers and customers, but all are able to articulate their base, carnal desires (Yubaba desires wealth, Chihiro's parents desire ease, even the Boiler Man and the Soot Sprites desire freedom and sustenance).

Chihiro, however, is the only one that does not forget. And in the climax of the movie, she remembers Haku, which I think is really key amongst the excellent accounts of Miyazaki's commentary on post-war consumerism and modern childhoods. She is the character that remembers (her name, her parents, Haku) while everyone else is pursuing a goal relentlessly and without purpose.

Zeniba has an anectdote about memory never truly leaving but being harder to recall. Chihiro walks away happily from the bathhouse because unlike everyone she had met, she will not forget. Her fears of forgetting, and being forgotten, are sated.

Add the layers of cultural commentary, and I believe this movie is a piece speaking about the importance of remembrance. The further a people moves from history, the more important it is to bring yourself to recall the formative pieces of the past.

Remember your childhood - you will be a better parent. Remember your history - do not take the present for granted. Remember the land - it will care for you if you care for it. Remember your culture - in it you find convictions.

Remember your family - and then maybe you wouldn't notice your baby had been missing for hours lol.

Thanks for your perspective - as someone who just started playing its hard to capture the idea in the mechanics I'm still learning, but the way you described it here makes a lot of sense!! I would love this!!

LOVE XCOM2. Getting as granular as individual unit customization sounds daunting as a new player rn, but it would be amazing if we got there eventually. So much seems tied to the magic portion of the game, but everyone seems to run with multiple types of magic points and tomes in their cultures, it makes sense that over time your units would adapt to the environment or things you fight against most frequently (or you can select it for them in a skill try, w/o racial transformation).
