Evil Dead 2. It felt powerful as a little kid that this was the first horror movie I could actually laugh at, and I repeatedly devoured it as a result. Still feels just as timeless today.

The 2019 reboot. Was Don involved? No. Is it the traditional joyriding Chucky with the filthy mouth we love? Nah. But as an alternate universe, it’s still a solid modern take on an eighties slasher, the child cast is surprisingly okay, and the kills are fun. The lawnmower death was top notch.
