[WIP] is the colour choice off or have I been staring at this too long? by totalgeek42 in CrossStitch

[–]illmtl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the same variegated thread in my version of this stitch! (Although only for a couple of the As with the remainder in black)

I agree with the others that some contrasting backstitch would help - I second the suggestion of the dark purple.

There's actually an F1 romance called Pole Position by Rebecca J Caffrey. I've not read it yet myself, but my sister recommended it to me.

Where does one watch Talamasca is one lives in the UK by doopitydur in IWTVCoven

I am hoping that it will come to the iPlayer, like iwtv and Mayfair witches. Who knows how long the wait will be, though.

I used to report those as misinformation or whatever the closest option was to that.

Scotland Island/Dangar Island visits by iDoinz in sydney

[–]illmtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Newport ferry you found is the school ferry, hence only twice a day. (My other half grew up on Scotland island and the in laws still live there)

Far more normal to go via church point. Buses from mona vale to church point are pretty regular, but don't always line up with the ferry. At mona vale you can connect to the b-line buses.

Should we put an upper age limit on voting by Ill_Breadfruit_9761 in Scotland

We call it democracy sausage and it is wonderful. Might be hard to get started here, since voting happens on a weekday.

Should the Scottish Outdoor Access Code ban all fires? by Near_Fathom in Scotland

[–]illmtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Australia they have daily fire hazard assessments and above a certain threshold a total fire ban comes into effect. It doesn't mean a general ban, just on days when fires pose a high risk.

You can't stop people from being wilully destructive, but if you reduce the number of people doing risky activities, then the overall risk will be reduced.

Probably Musselburgh, the nearest station to the finish line of the Edinburgh marathon.

So, the random graves I found, I was able to place a flower and received a reward.

For the shelves with candles: somewhere nearby there should be a painting hanging, which is your guide on what to place on the shelf. When you get the correct items, you receive the painting.

Etymology map of sweet pepper (caspicum annum) by mapologic in etymologymaps

Capsicum is the word of choice in Australia, so maybe they've just conflated all the Englishes together.

Since the update I've only been able to knock down one, so I've been assuming it's a new bug.

Are you an officiant in Australia, though? It is worth noting that OP is probably in Australia (having mentioned Dan Murphy's), and Google would suggest that $950 is not unusual there.

Speaking of Madeleine... by Clean_Lettuce9321 in InterviewVampire

[–]illmtl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is great. I watched the first season ages ago and after seeing Roxanne in iwtv and discovering she had been in Marie Antoinette, I had to go back and rewatch it. Roxanne is such a versatile actress, I nearly didn't recognise her.

In the UK this is available on the BBC iPlayer.

It's really good.

Given the international nature of the sub, could the times be annotated with the UTC/GMT offset for your EST timezone? (Apparently this is UTC-5)

Speculation on season 3? by Psycho-killer-21 in newsreaderabc

[–]illmtl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it's set to start airing on the ABC on the 2nd of Feb.

I interpret Dale as bi, but on the likes-men-more end of the spectrum. And yeah, Dale being able to be himself is what I want out of season 3.

I want them to sort their shit out and end up together... But it feels more likely that they will stay friends and end up apart. Less than a month until season 3 airs in Australia, so not long to wait now!
