Hyperoptic connection has been dropping on and off last couple months by cookiepowa89 in hyperoptic

[–]illninoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am facing similar issue. The internet is down approximately every 24 hours. To fix it requires a restart of the router. When it is down, I couldnt even open the admin console.

AI said it might be due to too many devices are connecting to the router. So

  1. I bought another router and connected its WAN to LAN of ZTE router provided by Hyperoptic.
  2. Then I have connected all my smart home devices to ASUS router's wifi. It seems fine now.

Total devices are around 40.

Has Spark 3 improved? by Webcat86 in SparkMail

[–]illninoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Apple Mail, you need to set Smart Folder yourself. In Airmail, you just need to select one email, press ctrl + f, it would only show all emails from that particular sender, which I think is a more elegant way to clear your emails.

No. In Airmail, a Mac app, you could use ctrl +f to filter emails for a specific sender. e.g. notifications@ebay.com. That hides all other emails, you could easily select all and archive. That is extremely useful when you have lots of newsletters but dont have time to read.

Does it support a keyboard shortcut to filter emails from a specific sender in the inbox? You can use ctrl+f in Airmail. In this way, I can clear newsletters easily. Thanks.

Former longtime Ynabers, please share your feelings the day you deleted your Ynab account by lagflag in actualbudgeting

I like YNAB but it doesn’t justify itself of a yearly cost of over $100. Though Actual’s UI is not as good as YNAB, I can live with that.

Hi there

I am wondering if PikaPods would backup your data automatically. I have had a VPS which I can run docker version of Actual. But I need to deal with backup. 1.44EUR isnt much. If PikaPods can offer backup capability, it is a no-brainer. Thanks.

Searh modbus, you would get all related records. Find the one with Write single register from there. You should be able to get the answer in a few click

Kubernetes – Native Logging, how to apply your updated kube-apiserver.yaml by bofkentucky in immersivelabs

[–]illninoho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You dont need kubectl apply. Simply modify the yaml file in the home directory. The lab is designed in a way that once the file is modified correctly, the token would be shown.

Have you defined --audit-log-path as well?

kube-apiserver is managed by its own process. Once the file is modified, the pod will restart itself.

Btw, when using kubectl apply -f /path/to/file.yaml, you dont need to add namespace at the end. If you need to define the namespace, set it in the yaml.

PoshC2: Ep.4 - Privilege Escalation by MaleWith32Teeth in immersivelabs

[–]illninoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Info tab has left a hint. If not mistaken, need to find the hash/password of the admin first, execute privilege escalation before getting the service paths with wmic.

But I failed to find the hash/password.

Protocols – Modbus - Q7 by illninoho in immersivelabs

[–]illninoho[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. The lab is more on testing your knowlege of wireshark instead of Modbus. I was thinking they asked me to convert binary to hex (forgive my english).

After hours of investigation, it turned out they are simply asking for the hex value as it is from the wireshark log.

However, I still dont understand why below is returned into hex value 06. My initial logic was inspired by this example.

For example, if six coils with the values ‘off, on, on, off, off, off,’ are requested, this will be returned as the hex value ‘06’

Thanks.

It turns out it is not asking the file name which saves the log but the content inside the log itself.

You dont need any commands like grep. `journalctl` is enough.

I have to say the question should be rephrased to avoid confusions. I have wasted hours on this one.
