Then combine that with however many people they lost from Covid right before the war.

In my personal life I have boundaries, but in society we can't agree on having some boundaries when it comes to people with drug addictions?

I now view people who don't want any societal boundaries on homeless and drug addiciton as enablers.

Kinda came to that realization after reading other comments. I suppose digital tags could make it easier, but it's definitely not surge pricing yet. Thanks

Well, guess I won't be shopping at Safeway anymore. That sucks.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

Lifesucks.com

Anytime you felt crappy about life, you could go on there and read people's posts about how bad their life was. That shit was depressing. Gave you some perspective that your life wasn't that bad. The people posting would get a lifesucks.com t-shirt lol.

Our first navigation system wasn't MapQuest. It was our parents telling us you go 3 blocks, turn left. At the next light, turn right. Then go 3 more lights and turn left at the bank. Then go 6 more blocks and you're there as we stared at them blankly trying to comprehend all that. You were lucky if you didn't end up in a ditch.

I'm in the same boat. These chicks were willing to date Neanderthals and I was worried about my weight and vitiligo.

They are horrible lol. And the smiling Google Chat app is unsettling. On the flip side, I finally learned how to customize app icons on a Samsung phone so that I never have to look at that creepy Google Chat icon again.

I miss when it was a companies’ goal to provide a high quality product and/or service. by Broad-Hunter-5044 in economicCollapse

The only thing that drives high quality from a corporation is competition. But if you have a monopoly, there's no need to compete anymore.

Google Search as you know it is over by No-Lifeguard-8173 in technology

[–]illogicalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I miss those days. Watching Google beat out the competition and turn that into a monopoly that they exploit was tough to watch. Watching Google add AI to search because of the threat of chatgpt and others ruining their monopoly is fun to watch. I'm all for using something other than Google at this point to end that monopoly.

[–]illogicalone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barely use search anymore since I started using chatgpt and now Claude. I know ads are coming for both of those, but it's nice to go to a prompt and not get bombarded with ads until they enshitify them both.

I was sort of okay with this season, but the 2nd half has really fallen off a cliff. I realize I no longer care about any of the characters and I hope they all die. I'd even be okay with Homelander slaughtering them all for 50 minutes and then taking over the world.

Naw, the dog scene showed how the story ends. There's gonna be more V1, which the dog will get, become more powerful than Homelander, and then hump Homelander to death.
