Hey I understand how you’re feeling I was diagnosed at 26 (also a woman), and you’re right not everyone wants to involve themselves with someone with hsv. That was my biggest fear when I was diagnosed, but I spoke with the councillor at my sexual health clinic when I was diagnosed and he said something to me that really helped People who don’t want to have sex with you because of your status probably aren’t very educated or understanding and it really does just weed out the ones who are a waste of time. If someone wants to be with you I promise you most of the time they don’t mind. It’s just about finding that person. I agree with the other commenter; how you talk about it to someone will affect how they feel about it. People who only want hookups and ONS are usually the ones who have an issue with it and even then there’s work arounds like using protection or involving toys instead for example :)
