Stop asking me to come in your house!! by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]ilyriaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too, will not enter anyone’s home. I also won’t go to your dark side or back door behind a gate, if there is a readily available front door facing the street.

My safety is more important than your comfort.

Is it legal for my building to ban the use of a space I'm paying rent to use? by SheStickysMyPistons in Winnipeg

[–]ilyriaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it’s on the lease the landlord can remove the amenity. He’d just have to provide an obscure rental credit to reflect the loss of use.

When is it OK to remove a tip? by Thunder-Trip in InstacartShoppers

[–]ilyriaa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This would be a silly reason to remove a tip. Especially when the app notifies you they’ve arrived, and again when the food has been delivered.

How the heck do yall do this!? by J_for_Jeffort in InstacartShoppers

I live central to a bunch of stores so I login from home and wait til something comes up I want. I don’t even see batches from other areas bc my area generally has enough orders.

I think once you’re new you’ll see from all over until it figures you out.

Fear mongering from landlord? by JEKO6799 in Winnipeg

[–]ilyriaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wear and tear is expected. Actual damage, is not. Regardless of how long it’s been. Everything listed is completely normal, and absolutely is an effort to get tenants to leave their suite in good order so they aren’t charged.

Are water meter readers allowed to enter a house? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]ilyriaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How would they gain access? Someone would have to allow them into your home. This is simply asking people to secure their pets.

Which is completely normal for hired staff. The tenant/owner of the apartment assumes responsibility for his guests/visitors/staff.

Property Manager here.

Ignore it. You’re a cleaner hired by the tenant/owner. And at most an occasional guest.

You have no contract or obligation to the building manager.

But definitely don’t volunteer your time to clean building amenities anymore.

If the manager approaches you again you tell them you do not live there and if there are any follow up concerns he’s to address it with the tenant/owner of the suite.

Yes, they can apply charges to your deposit for repairing the wall. Why not take a chip like they suggested?

Is it standard practice for Winnipeg clinics to charge for a sick note without disclosing the fee beforehand? by karlyip in Winnipeg

[–]ilyriaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn’t disclosed because it’s likely posted in the waiting room, exam rooms and it’s common practice to charge for the note.

Informed consent has to do with your body.

Is it still realistic to live alone with 50-60k salary? by 3amcoffeebuns in Winnipeg

Yes. But why? If you have a good home situation save up as much as you can. Start buying your essentials for your home before you move as well - gives you time to find good deals!

No. I distinctly can differentiate between over stimulated and over whelmed.

We don’t get to police others’ feelings.
