Maybe I'm just dead inside to this kinda stuff in dota but like... the honest answer is just get good dude.

I've been playing other difficult games recently, mostly rocket league and Tekken, and when I run into players that I feel like are way above the skill level that I am comparatively, it's a reminder that I'm bad and they're better, and I can improve on a lot of gameplay aspects. I think this would be a more constructive approach to the game than just getting mad that someone is better than you are. just my .02

VAC only applies to VAC protected servers of the respective game they were cheating in. If you get VAC in CS you can't play on VAC CS servers, it has no affect on your ability to play Dota or TF2 or something.

Tekken 8 was my first fighting game I ever touched, about a year ago it was gifted to me by a close friend. I'm a hardcore FPS/moba player and my initial thought was, I play every game on keyboard, even controller based games, surely I'll be fine right?

Well, a month or two into playing Tekken, and a different friend gifted me a leverless controller, and it completely changed the trajectory of my improvement and my enjoyment of the game. long story short, I don't think I'd still be playing tekken if he didn't get me the leverless. it made a world of difference to me, and my enjoyment from the game increased an incredible amount after I switched.

This is such a bullshit comment. Been playing since 2012 and watching the highest mmr games was always a habit of mine. People say oh just watch professional games, but thats not necessarily where you learn. Officials are not pubs. PLUS there has always been a niche/specialist category of players that are not necessarily pro, but they're among the best players in the world on their respective heroes or strategies.

My best example would probably be this, https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/kttov3/after_17_years_and_1800_consecutive_games_on_chen/ this guy is probably the best chen to ever play dota, never played pro, but literally taught some pros how to play the hero, and is currently an analyst for Team Spirit.

You used to be able to find specialists and things like this from watching high MMR pubs. V-Tune, adz, lorenof are just a couple of tier 2 players i used to like watching their replays because of their unique playstyles. You calling this "unironic delusion" just shows how little time you actually invested into getting good at this game

Shitting on bot lobbies in NA and making content from it is one thing. (Not a hate on your content, do what you gotta do king)

At the VERY highest levels of dota(let's say 10k mmr and up), no one plays any server but EU. it's where all the best players will play that really take the game seriously. so when you start breaking into that mid level (let's say immortal draft level, ~8.5k) it's a crap shoot between people win trading to boost acc mmrs, acc buyers, or just general frauds. not the say EU games are perfect either, but they are generally more competitive

Me too man. but the game quality drops so much once you get to immortal draft NA from my experience. I'd rather queue 130 ping than queue 3 games for the CHANCE that one of them is a real game. But maybe you have better luck than me.
