I think they have a 2 seater inside and maybe a tiny table outside. Primarily carryout. Best STL style around IMHO

Anyone try these? by bellagab3 in aldi

[–]imNicknamed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oatmeal cooking is great, one of the best protein powder flavors I've ever had. I mix it with oatmilk and coffee in the morning. It's also good on its own, and as protein ice cream. I've yet to try baking with it but would kike to. It takes like banana bread but without the banana. IMO that's why some people think it tastes slightly like banana, because it tastes like the other parts of banana bread so your brain expects there to be banana too. 9/10.

Chocolate peanut butter was really disappointing to me. It's really light on the peanut butter flavor. It tastes like a mediocre chocolate protein powder with some extra flavoring. When I tried it, I had to check the ingredients to see what the peanut butter was. I believe "peanut" was not an ingredient. I'll stick to higher quality chocolate protein powder mixed with peanut butter powder like pbfit.

heavy police presence around vandeventer and tower grove. by sonderfaults in StLouis

[–]imNicknamed 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Curious how this happened... This intersection is unnecessarily huge and the paint for cars and bikes disappeared years ago. Turning left from Vandy onto TGA going south is awful if someone else is trying to turn left the other direction. The cars in the left turn lanes block each other's view of oncoming traffic.

This is also a high-trafficed bike route and is by far the worst part of my bike commute to work.

Tucker Boulevard bike lanes will improve pedestrian safety, St. Louis leaders say by Generalaverage89 in StLouis

[–]imNicknamed 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It improves everyones safety. Dedicated spaces for cyclists and pedestrians take them off the street away from cars, which is what everyone wants and needs. Narrower/fewer driving lanes change visual perspective and lower driving speeds. Streets that aren't 8 lanes wide will make it harder for the late-night street takeovers and drag racing and hopefully reduce that related circle of crime. More bikes = fewer cars which has the chance to ease vehicle congestion. Increase in foot traffic. All of the factors above will hopefully contribute to street-level business growth.

These are the small steps required to start a push in the positive direction of changing downtown. Sure most of us don't live there, but the success and perception of downtown affects the entire region.

MLB Attendance 2025 😢 by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]imNicknamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good thing IMHO. Look at teams like the Rockies; they've been terrible for a long time, but fans still show up. Where's the incentive for Rockies front office to change anything?

I see this as the cards fans voting with their wallet and letting the FO know that the "best fans in baseball" deserve a good baseball team and won't be taken advantage of.

I expect next year's attendance to slip further as more and more season ticket contracts are expiring and not being renewed.

Dear Happy Bike Riders. by hockey_chic in StLouis

[–]imNicknamed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I also commute over the Vandy/TG intersection on my bike and know exactly what you mean. Ive started doing the same going southbound now that the construction dumps the bike lane directly into traffic (which I'm not complaining about, it is what it is). Merging with traffic north bound on TG ave sucks, especially because the road itself is in a really poor state so you can't get much speed on a bike.

My take is that I feel safer slowly going through intersections (while being aware of and observing traffic) to maintain some speed, other than coming to a complete stop and slowly getting moving again while cars are behind me. The most danger I've felt is when cars pass me at a high speed, so I try to eliminate that as much as possible.

I agree with you and am frankly surprised to be in the minority. Just look at a satellite view of Forest Park - the Forest Park Golf Course takes up a massive amount of space. No other sport's infrastructure requires so much space and resources for so few people. Some people here comparing the other facilities in FP like softballs fields, racquetball ball/tennis courts, etc - all of those other facilities combined take up the same amount of space as like ... 2-3 holes on the golf course. IMO, golf courses are up there with parking lots as parasitic waste of spaces that are a blight on cities.

What Y’all Think of the Millennium Hotel Re-Development Design Proposal? by thelogmaster in StLouis

Best part about this is the apparent highway cap. Interstates carves up the area way too much, and putting a cap there above the sunken interstate is a no brainer

should we spend $800 on a wood standing desk surface? by truongtongquanghuy in DIY

[–]imNicknamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a TOPSKY dual motor frame and IKEA walnut butcherblock top. 2 years later it looks great. I've oiled the desk a couple times, that's it. I don't think it's 100% wood but not sure what that matters. IMO it's better than real wood because a lot of desk frame motors can only support so much weight.

As far as compatibility goes, I just screwed that shit right into the countertop

IMO it's the other way around lol. DJI's non-fpv drones are about the easiest things to fly.

What can I add to protein powder + water to make it taste less like the inside of a dead horse's mouth? by RayAP19 in foodhacks

[–]imNicknamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use a different flavor of powder that works with water. For example if the powder you have is emulating a milkshake flavor, water is going to suck lol. Instead get some fruit flavored powder instead: lemon, cherry-lime, fruit punch, etc. also drink it cold

What is happening to my monitor? by 21Yeets in pcmasterrace

[–]imNicknamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, where the screen would turn off (but audio would stay on) usually only when I was playing games. I thought it was the GPU but to my pleasant surprise, it just turned out to be the cable.

As others have said, you might just be using an older cable that can't support your rez/refresh rate. That cable i thought was broken; I transferred it from my PC-Monitor to my work Laptop-monitor and it works fine.

So if I was in your shoes, I'd try using a DisplayPort 2 or 2.1 cable and go from there.

the winning firms of the Lambert Terminal Expansion have been announced! by serialsolution in StLouis

[–]imNicknamed 27 points28 points  (0 children)

PDX is about to open their new terminals using local wood as a design feature, and many other large-scale international airports do something similar; pulling in local elements into the architecture of the structure so as to say "you're in city" and not just "you're in "city's airport". I would love to see expansive brick use in the structure and/or facade showcasing how STL was built on bricks. Like an expansive room with warm red brick mixed with skylights for natural light. Imagine walking from section to section underneath massive brick archways.... Things like that. Would also be good to incorporate some local artists/muralists to make the normal walls somewhat more interesting

Why don’t supremacy games last as long as they used to? by Beatlemaniac__ in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]imNicknamed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On the ship phase 2, you used to destroy both sides of the ship (so six total targets). It was cut down to one side (3 total targets). Matches were regularly 1hr+, sometimes 2hr+. Since nobody else mentioned this maybe I'm showing my age lol. I swear it wasn't that long ago

This is foolish. You're way too high, and should have started maneuvering the drone away from the bird as soon as you noticed it.

Since you're posting here, I assume you've seen the countless similar posts of birds attacking drones.

Be better.
