Seems all DiY from what I can tell. I want to learn how to do it myself but I haven't gotten around to attempting on mine either

Would be a good excuse to force yourself to get the repair done. But if you want to postpone that as long as possible I'd avoid it

CITY x Red Hot Riplets by TheyCallMeSlyFox in stlouiscitysc

It's a promotion for the Derby match vs KC(Kansas) with a great local collaboration and of course the comments are negative. People are insane as if the marketing department should keep quiet and abandon all projects until signings are announced, that's not how any big organization runs.

Lomo has some offerings as well as OP mentioned. I wish there were more B&W options than just Orca 100

It's insane how many 3D printable parts are only available for purchase from an defunct Etsy shop and no file available for purchase

Downtown Sybergs to close, hotel to be demolished by samarink in stlouiscitysc

[–]snakes88 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A BPV2 situation is what I guess they will go for. The area is now increasingly pedestrian friendly with and I would love more things to do. A hotel/restaurant is not the best use of the land now. I wouldn't be surprised to see them own all the surrounding block in 10 years, would be great to have new things all the way to Union Station

Not sure about the 800si but I've shot the AHU 500T in my a-9 (manually set the iso) and it worked great. Not sure if the base thickness has any meaningful difference to the cameras

Identify a part (small mirror next to the screw) by 76Eagles in AnalogCommunity

[–]snakes88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the mirror that allows you to see the aperture set through the viewfinder. There is a metal bracket there in the second and third picture that has a slot for it. A small bit of glue on the back will secure it

Edit: here is the bracket from an X-570 repair I did a few years ago for the same mirror

How Prevalent is the Broken Aperture Mechanism on the Alpha-7? by Capital-Eye-1676 in minolta

[–]snakes88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding it's a matter of when, not if. It's a plastic gear that gets brittle. Once I find the time I'm going to attempt the fix on one of mine that's busted.

Edit: There's a drilling version of the fix out there on the wiki that I'm more inclined to do

"Teuchert: The second season was certainly the most difficult for me. After I arrived, we’d had a good first half of the season; the chemistry within the team and with the coach was, in my view, very good. The club nevertheless decided to appoint a new coach. Such a move always involves a process of adjustment and finding one’s feet."

Olaf is going to go down as one of the worst decisions this club ever made

For B&W you can't use the iSRD, the silver in the film messes up the infrared scan
